PARIS, France: Amaal laytul Qadr (the night of glory)
began throughout the world from 19th night of holy month of Ramadan
(the night between Ramadan 18, 19) besides azadari programs to mark
zarbat (when ibne Moljim struck a poisoned sword at the holy head of
Master of Believers Al-Imam Ali (AS) while he was offering Fajr
(pre-dawn) prayer on Ramadan 19 in Kufa Mosque) and shahadat of
Ameerul Momineen Hazrat Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (AS).
In Iraq, main Layalatul Qadr and Zarbat programs were held at holy
shrines of Imam Ali (AS), Imam Al-Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS),
Imam Al-Kazim (AS), Imam Taqi (AS), Imamain Al-Askariyain (AS) in the
holy citis of Najaf, Karbala, Kazemiyah and Samarra respectively.
In Iran, a large number of mourners visited the holy shrine of Hazrat
Imam Ali Raza (AS) bin Hazrat Imam Moosa Kazim (AS) in the holy city
of Mash’had to pay him (AS) their condolences on the heartrending
occasion. They also performed Amaal of Laylatul Qadr.

The mourners also visited the holy shrine of Hazrat
Sayyedah Fatimah Al-Masoomah (SA) bint-e-Hazrat Imam Moosa Kazim (AS)
in Qom Al-Moqaddesah.
Holding majalis, shedding tears and performing matam, the mourners
offered her (SA) condolences on the martyrdom of her grandfather Abul
A’immah Hazrat Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (AS).

In Tehran, the programs were held at the tomb of late
founder of Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatullah Roohullah Khomeini (RA)
and the holy grave of Sayed Abdul Azeem Al-Hasani (AS) as well as
other mosques and Hussainiyaat.
In, Pakistan, Imam Ali (AS) mourning days are being observed as
‘worldwide Ayyam-i-Aza’ on the call of Shiite spiritual leader and
TNFJ chief Agha Hamid Mousawi.
