ان الحیات عقیدۃ و جہاد
Belief is the singular of beliefs that
means making a solid tie and making a strong promise and commitment
and it is related with the human heart. Similarly belief means
thinking and an ideology that impressed a human heart and the
imagination that overcomes his mind and heart completely and then
coerces it into adopting a particular life-style and remains stuck to
this strong belief and ideology. That is why the human belief and
ideology rule the human feelings. Our belief is that Islam is our
religion because the Zaat-e-Illahi has declared it most liked religion
ان الدین عند اللہ الاسلام . And Zurarah Bin A'yun quotes that he has
copied from Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqar (A.S.) that he stated
الاسلام علی خمسۃ اشیاء: علی الصلاۃ، و الزکوٰۃ، و
الحج، والصوم والولا یۃ
That means that there are five
fundamentals on which Islam rests: (1) Nimaz, (2) Zakat, (3) Hajj, (4)
Fast, (5) Wilayat.
Late Tareehi says in Kitaab Jama Al-Bahrain that Wilayat is
commensurate with the love of Ahle Bait and his following of the
religion. Those Ahle Bait (A.S.) whose love has been declared as
Ajr-e-Risalat قل لا اسئلکم علیہ اجرا الا المودۃ فی القربی and name of
one of those personalities is Hussain (A.S.) who offered a historic
sacrifice for the supremacy of Islam and made the Parcham-e-Islam
flutter high.
حسین وہ بااصول غازی حسین وہ معتبر نمازی
کہ جس نے اپنے لہو کی سرخی سے نقش اسلام
کو سنوارا
The history stands witness that the Imam Aali Muqaam
(A.S.) preferred to be beheaded but did not bow down, preached a
lesson to support jehad against the evil and told the human beings to
live for human dignity and for the pleasure of Allah and made them
understand that death in honour is better that life in disguise. That
is why we consider that Wilayat of Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.), love of
Rasool (SAAW) and Aal-e-Rasool (A.S.) and Aza-e-Hussaini is included
in our souls. That is why I have chosen the topic that life is the
name of belief and struggle for it and الجہاد ماضیً الی یوم القیامۃ.
Azadari-e-Imam Mazloom that is the protest of the world of oppressed
against oppression and brutality and actually it is jehad for
promotion of Hussainiyyat. The evil world after the Hazoor (SAAW)
to-date utilised all their energy in concealing their Manaqib and
today they are after Azadari and get busy the day in and day out
hatching new conspiracies against it and the internal enemy is more
active against it than external enemy because it has come to his
knowledge that Azadari is an enlightened minaret for the protection of
religion and Shariat and it is the biggest weapon; sometime he raises
objection on grievous acts and tears, and sometime raises objective of
Mourning with sword (Qamah) and Zanjeer-Zani and sometime declares
shedding their own blood is not allowed and this blood may be given to
patients instead.
غم حسین پہ جو معترض ہیں ان سے کہو
غم حسین ؑ عبادت ہے زندگی کیلئے
The Holy Prophet (SAAW) shed tears on the birth of Hazrat
Imam Hussain (A.S.). On asking the reason, he said a rebel group will
kill my this son. According to a saying the Khatoon-e-Jannat (S.A.)
asked: Baba-e- Namdaar! in which era my son will have to face these
problems. He said this era will be the one when neither I, neither Ali
neither you, neither Hassan (A.S.) will be there.
قالت یا ابتاہ فمن یبکٰی علیہ و من یلتزم
باقامۃ العزاء
Hazrat Zehra (A.S.) said: Baba Jaan! In such an era and
dilapidated conditions, when my son will kiss Shahadat who will shed
tears on his trouble and who will organise Majalis, Matam, and Aza.
قال رسول صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم نساء امتی یبکین علی نساء اہلبیتی و
رجالھن یبکون علی رجال اہلبیتی. The Holy Prophet (SAAW) said, my dear
daughter, don't worry, women and ladies of Ismat-o-Taharat of my Ummah
will shed tears on the troubles of my son and men and Mardan-e-Ahle
Bait of my Ummah will shed tears after remembering his troubles. و
یجددون العزاء جیلاً بعد جیل فی کل سنۃ and will revive the Azadari of
your son year after year, one nation after the other فاذا کان یوم
القیامۃ تشفعین انت للنساء و انا اشفع للرجال and when the Day of
Judgment will dawn then you will do the intercession of those women
and I will do the same for those men and whichever Momin will shed
tears on Hussain (A.S.) Mazloom, we will hold his/her hand and will
enter them into the heaven.
ہم لوگ دعا ئے زہرا ؑ ہیں ،شبیر کا ماتم
کرتے ہیں
جو دور عزا سے رہتے ہیں تقدیر کا ماتم
کرتے ہیں
Today, the objection is raised that perform Azadari by
remaining at home, at Imambargahs, why at roads? Azadari actually is
the eternal protest against oppresssor of every era.
جو اشک پلکوں سے ڈھل رہے ہیں وہ ظلم کا رخ بدل رہے ہیں
And Quran itself permits to lodge protest against the
oppressor:
لا یحب اللہ الجھر بالسوء من القول الا من ظلم و کان اللہ سمیعا علیما
God loveth not that evil. Should be noised abroad in
public speech, except where injustice hath been done; for God is He
who heareth and knoweth all things. (Surah Nisaa, Ayah 148)
In other words, Shariat has firmly directed that if you see any evil
of any one do not make it public rather make the one understand about
it in loneliness but there is any religious interest demands then
making the oppression of that oppressor is called protest. According
to a hadees, a person came to the Holy Prophet (SAAW) and told him
that his neighbourer teases him. He advised him that you may pull out
your household articles and keep it at commoin place outside. He did
the same. Therefore, whoever passed through would have asked him what
happened and he used to tell them about the oppressive attitude meted
out to him by his neighbourer. On listening it, every passerby would
have curse that neighbourer (Sunan Abi Daud. Kitaab Al-Adab) with
reference Shah Fahd Quran Printing, Ministry For Islamic Affairs,
Endowment, Dawa and Guidance, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
So when Quran and Sunnah have given a common man the
right to raise his voice against oppression then there is no big an
oppressed that Hussain Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) and there is no big
incident than Karbala. Therefore, it is included in the obligation of
every Azadar to highlight the oppression of biggest oppressor of the
world of oppressor Yazid and the biggest source to highlight and
disseminate it the Azadari Imam Aali Muqaam on which the Yazidi world
is still shivering of. Yazid and his men committed so big an
oppression that if it had been concealed then there would have been no
sign of religion or Shariat the world over.
The test of Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) began from the Fajr
prayers on the Day of Ashoor and finished at Asr prayers. Imam Hussain
(A.S.) carried the bodies of his faithful companions, and pious
offspring and then bearing the thirst and heat, carried wounds, kissed
Shahadat and reached the Hoz-e-Kausar to fench his thirst from
Aab-e-Kausar. But Ummul Masaib Hazrat Zainab (S.A) Sani-e-Zehra
remained involved in this mission along with her brother and was
called Sharikat-ul-Hussain and then bore the tough time in the streets
of Kufa and Shaam and bore the attendance in the courts of Ibne Ziad
and Yazid and delivered addresses in the voice and sytle of Ali (A.S.)
shattering the Yazidi courts and apprising the world about the
assassins of Hussain (A.S.). Do not ever say that Yazid was the
Khalifate of Rasool (SAAW), who can pass through such ordeals but it
was the quality of the Khanwada-e-Risalat and the effect of Zehra's
(S.A.) milk that she bore all this with patience and forbearance and
unveil Yazidiyyat and told the world that this bloodshed that was
being concealed could not be concealed. It was the job done by Zainab
(S.A.) daughter of Ali (A.S.) and Batool (S.A.).
حدیث عشق دو باب است کربلا و دمشق یکے حسین رقم کرد دیگرے
زینب
Hussain (A.S.) belongs to all and Hussain (A.S.) belongs
to Allah, every nation would call that Hussain (A.S.) is theirs which
is the great blessing of Zainab (S.A.) and Zainul Abideen (A.S.).
Hussain's sacrifice is فدیناہ بذبح عظیم.
What is Azadari? . . . Not forgetting Hussain (A.H.) from
memory. Therefore Imam Raza (A.S) told Rayan Bin Shabib on first of
Muharram during a conversation یابن شبیب ان سرک ان تکون معنا فدرجات
العلیٰ من الجنان فحزن لحزننا وفرح لفرحنا و علیک بولایتنا فلو ان رجلا
تولیٰ حجرا لحشر ۃ اللہ معنا if you, Oh son of Shabib, desire to remain
on a high place in the heaven with us, then observe mourning with our
mourning and remain happy with our happiness and it is binding on you
to remain convinced of our Wilayat and Muwaddat because if a person
keeps friend with a stone then he will be brought up with that stone
on the D-Day (Ayoon Akhbar Al-Raza, Edition 1).
Hussain (A.S.) is that Mazloom on whom the universe and
everything in it shed tears therefore the Quran-e-Natiq Imam
Jafar-e-Sadiq (A.S.) stated یا زراراۃ ان السمآ ء بکت علی الحسین اربعین
صباحا بالدم Oh, Zurarah, no doubt, sky shed blood for 40 days on my
oppressed forefather Imam Hussain (A.S.)
و ان الارض بکت اربعین صباحا بالسواد و ان الشمس بکت
علیہ اربعین صباحا بلکسوف و الحمرۃ و ان الجبال تقطعت و ان البحار تفجرت
و ان الملائکۃ بکت اربعین صباحا علی الحسین و ما اختضبت امراۃ من بنی
ہاشم ولا ادھنت ولا رجلت و لا الکتحلت حتٰی آتانا راس عبید اللہ ابن زیاد
فما زلنا فی عبرۃ بعدہ (Sharah
Al-Masaib, part one)
And on this oppressed person earth shooked for 40 days, sun spread
redness for 40 mornings and mountains were cut into pieces in
Hussain's (A.S.) mourning, rivers outflooded and angels mourned and
shed tears for 40 days on Imam Hussain (A.S.). Oh, Zurarah, the day my
forefather kissed Shahadat from that day onward no woman from Hashmia
clan dyed their hair, not used mehndi, not pour oil in their head, not
used comb, not used kohl unless the head of Ibne Ziad was brought
before us (and this deed was performed by Mukhtar Saqafi that is why
Imam Zainul Abideen A.S. prayed for him that Allah may pay back him
well) then said, Oh, Zurarah, we Ahle Bait Risalat (A.S.) always shed
tears for our oppressed forefather.
Whenever water was presented before the Fourth Imam Zainul Abideen
(A.S.), he used to shed tears in a way that pot before him were filled
with blood. The heads of Shuhada-e-Karbala were raised on the points
of spear ahead of camels ridden by Aseeran-e-Aale Muhammad (A.S.) and
the head of Syed-us-Shuhada was ahead of them all which was highly
enlightened and resembled with the the Holy Prophet (SAAW). The beard
of the Imam Aali Muqaam was dyed in his blood and his face was bright
as moon, his beard was moving right and left. When Sani-e-Zehra's
(S.A.) eyes met the holy head of Imam Hussain (A.S.) she banged her
head on the wooden 'Mehmil' of the camel she was riding on that blood
started bleeding from her forehead. She looked toward the holy head
and said, oh, brother Hussain! oh moon, that set before reaching its
heights. Hazrat Rubab, the mother of Sakina (S.A.) always sat in
sunlight after the Shahadat of Imam Mazloom (A.S.), she never sat in a
shadow in the day as a result of which blood continuously shed from
her faces skin (Book رد الھجوم عن شعائر الامام الحسین المظلوم).
The Hadi of this era Imam Al-Asr Imam Mehdi (A.S.) addressing his
forefather says in Ziarat-e-Nahya. Salam from who is very sad on your
troubles and is upset, Salam from who would have thrown his life into
the swords had he been with you in the plains of Karbala and becoming
ready to kiss death showered even the last drop of his blood on you
and helped you against the rebels along with you through jehad and
sacrificed his body, belongings and wealth and offspring on you,
sacrifice his soul and that of his family on your soul. And when the
period delayed me and stopped me from helping you, I could not fight
with those who fought with you and could not stand in front of your
enemies in the battlefield, so now will shed tears day and night
restlessly on your troubles and will shed tears of blood from my eyes
instead of simple tears. That means that the Imam Al-Asr is the
biggest Azadars of this era who is shedding tears of blood instead of
simple tears (this is the lesson for those persons who lure the
Azadari from giving up Qama-Zani and Zanjeer-Zani and donte blood in
hospitals instead).
بتلا دو اسے جو کہتے ہیں ،خوں اپنا بہانا
بدعت ہے
مظلوم کے حامی جو بھی ہیں تطبیر کا
ماتم کرتے ہیں
Haji Mullah Sultan Ali Tibraizi who is a big Abid-o-Zahid
performed Ziarat of Imam Al-Asr in his dream and asked a question from
the Imam Al-Asr that you have said in the Ziarat-e-Nahiah that I will
shed tears day and night restlessly on your troubles and will shed
blood from my eyes instead of simple tears. Is that correct. The Imam
Al-Asr said yes it is correct. Haji Mullah Sultan Tibraizi says that I
submitted that which trouble is on which you shed blood instead of
tears, whether it is the trouble faced by Hazrat Shahzada Ali Akbar
(A.S.), he replied 'No'. Had Hazrat Ali Akbar (A.S.) remained alive at
the time of that trouble, he may also shed blood instead of tears.
Sultan Ali Tibraizi says that I submitted whether it is the trouble of
Ghazi Abbas (A.S.). He replied 'No'. Rather he may also shed blood
instead of tears had he been alive. I submitted was it the trouble of
your oppressed forefather, he replied 'No'. He would have also shed
blood instead of tears had he been alive. Mullah Tibraizi says that I
enquired from the Imam Al-Asr that Maula then which trouble is that.
He replied that trouble is the imprisonment of my Jaddah Zainab (S.A.)
(Shaiftgaan-e-Imam Mehdi).
That is why when Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) was asked that when they
faced the biggest trouble, he said Al-Shaam, Al-Shaam, Al-Shaam.
سجادؑ سے وطن میں کسی نے کیا کلام گزرے کہاں زیادہ قلق تجھ پہ یا امام
حضرت ؑ نے تین بار کہا شام شام شام سر ننگے میرا کنبہ تھا اور گرد خاص و
عام
Oh, the followers of Hussain (A.S.), keep in mind that Azadari is our
religious symbol that is going on for ever unabated. You are under the
oblilgation to shed tears with devotion and love in Gham-e-Hussain by
paying Ajr-e-Risalat and preaching Wilayat, perform Matamdari,
Qamah-Zani (hitting head with swords) and Zanjeer-Zani because in it
lay survival of Shariat and it guarantees our survival. Follow the
will of my teacher Hazrat Imam Khomeini that he made about Azadari.
"How Syed-us-Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) made us follow his
ideology. The Imam Mazloom who made us coherent in this way, should we
not express our grief on his Shahadat and the troubles he faced, not
mourn and shed tears for him. This mourning (Azadari-e-Imam Mazloom)
has kept us safe to-date, wake up, remain awake, what these satans
desire from us? Whether may not fall prey to their fraudelent act,
they desire to santch Azadari Imam Aali Muqaam by deceiving us, avoid
their satanic tactics. It is the religious and Shariah duty of the
Ulema-e-Haq to organise Majalis-e-Aza and people in general are under
the obligation to participate in the Azadari of Imam Aali Muqaam with
utmost honour and respect and perform Mourning with extreme devotion.
Some pious hearts ask that we are observing the mourning of the Imam
Mazloom for centuries, shedding tears and performing Hussaini
mourning, will keep on doing so in future also but what is the use of
it? If we moured the Syed-us-Shuhada the whole life and shed tears,
the Imam Mazloom is not hungry of our deeds but Azadari is suitable
and profitable for us (Saheefa-e-Noor, edition 8).
Do not even think of any changes in the Youm-e-Ashoor processions. Do
not give these processions the shape of any long march, rather
maintain them in line with your previous patterns and traditions with
the same acts of Hussaini mourning, and Noha-Khwani rather maintain
with more dignified manner from that of previous traditions, if
possible. This is the key to success. Long march is a political things
and let it separate from it. The whole country should be the
Imambargah, everyone should be Zakir, everyone should be an Azadar,
where would you find more unity than from here? Which nation in the
world is so united as we are? Where this unity came from, it is the
blessing of the Mazloom-e-Karbala. (1400 Hijra, Shab-e-Awwal Muharram,
Imam Khomeini's R.A. address to Waizeen and Zakireen at Qum
Al-Muqaddash)
Not only Ayatollah Khomeini rather Marajah of every era has stated the
virtue of Azadari, Qama-Zani and Tatbeer (Matam on head with sword).
They kept on stressing its development. Today the whole world drive
has started to donate blood to patients instead of shedding it in
Gham-e-Hussain. Those who are doing so as per a saying of Imam
Khomeini, "Desire to snatch Azadari Imam Aali Muqaam from us by
deceiving us". Therefore, being the clay of Azadaran-e-Imam Hussain's
feet, it is my message for Matmi Azadaran the world over to continue
the chain of Aza-e-Hussaini by all means, because:
جب ہوگا سوا نیزے پہ خورشید قیامت سائے میں سیدہ ؑ کے عزادار رہیں گے
Azadari is the protest of the oppressed and no one could set the
limits and boundaries of the protest to-date. The great
Marajah-e-Azzam of the present era have given a fit reply to those who
donate blood instead of shedding their blood in Gham-e-Hussain (A.S.).
The Majah-e-Kabeer of Najaf-e-Ashraf Ayatollah Al-Uzma Al-Syed says:
"There is supremacy and Sawaab in Tatbeer (Matam on head with sword).
And it is not possible for us to compare and compete its Sawaab with
the Sawaab of other pious matters."
Ayatollah Al-Uzmah Almirza Jawwad Al-Tibraizi, who give Pursa to
Madar-e-Hussain (S.A.) bare-footed on the Qum Al-Muqaddisa roads,
says: "One who donates blood has no relation with the Azadari
Syed-us-Shuhada and becoming mournful on his troubles. The propaganda
of the opponents could not shatter us, they have many accusations, it
is obligatory for we Momineen that we protect Syed-us-Shuhada, and the
Azadari of their Ahle Bait and companions. Thus struggling for these
matters is the right path for reaching the reality of the Shia faith.
May Allah protect them (Sha'air Hussainia) from the evil thinking and
deceptiveness of the enemies like He protected them from different
period to-date and no doubt, Allah is the One Who gives strength and
is Hadi leading us towards a right path." (Kitaab Al-Sha'air
Al-Hussainia, page 18)
Ayatollah Al-Uzmah Al-Syed Sadiq Al-Shirazi says: "Giving blood
donation is legal but (through it) stopping the Sha'air-e-Hussainia
rather even thinking of it is not commensurate with the dignity of
Mawali-e-Ahle Bait (A.S.)."
Ayatollah Al-Uzmah Al-Syed Ali Hussaini Seestani states the history of
Matam on head with sword in these words: "Whereas the shedding of own
blood in Hussaini mourning is historically related, that is copied by
Mohibuddin Tibri in his book (page No. 272 لم تکن ردۃ ), that:
ان اھل البحرین اول من ضربوا روسھم بسیوف واسالوا الدماء من ھا حزنا علی
امام الحسین ؑ و ذالک بعد تسعۃ ایاب بعد استشھادۃ
(The Bahrain people first time shed their blood by hitting swords on
their heads after 9 days of Imam Hussain's Shahadat in 61 Hijra)
The detail of this incident of shedding blood in Gham-e-Hussain (A.S.)
is stated that when people from Kufa sent letters to Imam Hussain
(A.S.) that come to us in Kufa, then when he thought of going to Kufa,
he sent letters to his Shias in different areas i.e. Syria, Yemen,
Bahrain and Jabal-e-Amil and invited them to meet him in Iraq. A very
big contingent led by Sa'asa'a Bin Sohan (who was one of the
companions of Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib A.S.) set out
from Bahrain to Iraq and came to know in Basrah that Imam Hussain
(A.S.) has left for Karbala. When this contingent reached Karbala, the
Bani Asad informed them of Imam Hussain's (A.S.) Shahadat. They asked
about the holy grave of the Imam so they were led to the grave, they
started crying hugging the grave of Syed-us-Shuhada and took out their
swords and started performing Matam on their heads and through this
Matam they gave a bath of Imam Hussain's (A.S.) grave with the blood
shed from their heads. (Basharat-ul-Konain Baqamat Al-Matam Ali
Al-Hussain, page 84 to 85, published Najaf)
We observe Arbaeen-e-Hussaini as a Sunnah of Sharikat-ul-Hussain Syeda
Zainab Binte Ali (S.A.) like all Sha'air of Azadari.
ہر رسم عزا تجھ سے زمانے میں چلی ہے تو شارح کردار حسین ابن علی ؑ ہے
When Yazid (L) released Ahle Bait Ismat and Taharat from imprisonment,
then he sent Bashir, who was the follower of Khanwada-e-Ismat and
Taharat, with the Ahle Bait Athaar (A.S.) to Madinah and he very
protectively and safely took the Aseeran-e-Karbala to Karbala first.
It is a famous saying that when this caravan reached Karbala, it was
the day of Arbaeen and Sahabi-e-Rasool Hazrat Jabir Ibne Abdullah
Ansari (R.A.) was already present there. Thus a hue and cry was
raised, earth became shattering, sky started shivering, and Ahle Bait
(A.S.) reached the Maqtal of Shuhada crying. It was like a D-Day,
voices of Haey Hussain, Waey Hussain were being raised from all around
and when the Sani-e-Zehra looked at the holy grave of brother Hussain
(A.S.) کبت الیہ و بکت حتی غشی علیھا she wide opened her hands and
hugged the grave and the greatest woman of Karbala and Sherdil
daughter of Haider-e-Karrar (A.S.) fell unconscious.
گرکے ناقہ سے زینب نے دی یہ صدا قیدسے چھٹ کے بھیا بہن آگئی
In short, when the Bibi (S.A.) was not alighting from the grave by all
means, tears were rolling down from her eyes, heart was imbibed with
grief, Syed-us-Sajideen (A.S.) came near her and said. Phupee Amman,
we have to go to Madinah, then the Sani-e-Zehra (S.A.) said, "Oh, the
earth of Karbala, I hand over this Noor-e-Khuda who is the source of
blessing here and the Hereafter, to you as a trust."
The sister who could not cry on the body of his brother while going to
Shaam from Karbala after her arrest, highlighted the mission of his
brother in Kufa and Shaam by bearing many trouble and in the manner
that today echoes of Ya Hussain are being raised from every nook and
corner of the uniververse today. Today every honourable person is
shedding tears in Hussaini mourning.
تو یوں بچھا گئی ہے بھائی کا فرش ماتم
جس کو سمیٹ دینا ممکن نہیں کسی سے
On this occasion of Arbaeen-e-Hussain, I advise the
Azadaran-e-Hussain (A.S.) not to fall prey to the propaganda of
conspiracies in diverting them from Azadari.
رعب دستار فضیلت میں نہ آجانا کہیں
شک و شبہات میں پڑ کر نہ گنوا دینایقیں
I would like to make it clear that Hussaini mourning does
not need our protection; it is the protector of Shi'ite in every era.
All super powers unite, all assets, all missiles, rockets, explosives,
gathered could not stop way of Gham-e-Hussain (A.S.). This Hussaini
mourning is guarded by the chaddarless sister of Hussain (A.S.), the
chopped-off arms of Abbas Alamdar (A.S.) are its protector and it is
shaded with the prays of Fatima Zehra (S.A.). Those who throw stones
on Sha'air-e-Hussain (Hussaini mourning rituals) and are trying to
mislead the Azadaran should fear from the mother of Hussain (S.A.) and
from the day when the culprits of Daughter of Holy Prophet Sayyedah
Zahra (S.A.) will find no place for them to hide. On the mournful
occasion of Arbaeen-e-Hussaini and presenting condolence in the Bargah
of Hujjat-e-Doran (A.S.) and Madar- e-Hussain (S.A.), we reiterate our
resole to always confront the enemies of Wila and Aza.
نذرانہ یہ قبول ہو اے مادر حسین
ہے اور آنسوؤں کے سوا کیا ہمارے پاس
