Hawzah Ilmiya Iraq warns against laying hands on Sha’a’ir Allah

NAJAF AL-ASHRAF, Iraq: Al-Hawzah Al-Ilmiyah Al-Iraqia (Islamic Seminary of Iraq) has strongly condemned the “oppressive war” launched by the US and its allies against Iraq and rejected all excuses presented to justify strike on Iraq, occupy it and pollute its sacred land.

In a statement on Iraq invasion, the Seminary warned against laying hands on oppressed Iraqi people, religious and spiritual institutions of Islamic Seminaries, holy graves, Mosques, Hussainiyaat, schools, hospitals and human foundations, saying that if so be done the American so-called slogans of “freedom of people”, “defense for human rights” and “destruction of weapons of mass destruction” would be further more unveiled.

The statement began with these words: “O Iraqi people who are on trial! May Allah greaten our reward and your reward for we mourn for Imam Hussain (AS) who left that great example of patience and sacrifice for humanity against oppression and brutality, which is beacon of light for the generations.”

Urging Iraqi people and all political powers of Iraq to work for the protection of Iraq’s unity in every form, the seminary called upon them all to give priority to the public interests for Islam and Iraq over all other interests.
