US troops martyr several Iraqis in Fallujah

AL-FALLUJAH, Iraq: A number of Iraqis were martyred when the US troops fired randomly in the city of Falluja, 50 kilometers west of Baghdad after coming under attack overnight, reports said Thursday.
"They went crazy, they fired everywhere," said one witness Safi Jaber.
According to one of the US soldiers whose patrol was attacked, the patrol had come under fire from at least nine attackers with rocket-propelled grenades in an industrial area on the outskirts of the city. A US tank was ablaze.
The event provoked tension in the town where nearly two-dozen Iraqis were martyred last month by US troops in two incidents. On the beginning of this month, a grenade attack injured seven American soldiers in the town.
