Grand fêtes mark Sayedah Fatimah (p)’s B-day in Saudi Arabia

DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia: The cities of Saudi Arabia were filled with happiness, joy, delight and excitement marking the auspicious occasion of Birth Anniversary of Bid’atur Rasul Al-Adham (p) and Sayyeda-tun Nissa-el Aalameen Fatimah Az-Zahraa (p).

Festive programs, galas and functions kicked off from the eve of 20 Jamadi II, 5 August, Thursday at mosques and husseiniyaat attended by throngs of overjoyed followers of Ahlu Bayt (p) – men, women and children.

Eulogists and scholars paid rich homage to Sayyeda-tun Nissa-el Aalameen – Mistress of Women of the World – Fatimah Az-Zahraa (p) by reciting eulogies and delivering speeches marking the occasion. Sweets were distributed in a show of great love for Ahlul Bayt (p).

Streets, houses, shopping centers, mosques and husseiniyaat in Dammam, Qateef, Sehat, Safwa, Taroot, Jaroudiyah, Khaweldiyah were beautifully decorated with pendants, shinning ribbons and lighting.

People sent greetings in connection with the birth anniversary of Sayyedah Az-Zahraa (p) through e-mails, instant mobile messages and post.

Sayyed Ali Nasser addressed a grand festive gathering marking the occasion on Friday, 20 Jamadi II, 6 August in Dammam. Poet Jassem Al-Mosharraf recited Qasidah -- eulogy – in the respected court of Mother of A’immah Az-Zahraa (p) followed by a speech by Sheikh Jafar An-Namr. He spoke on the status of Mawlatana Sayyedah Az-Zahraa (p).

In Jaroudiyah, a three-day Az-Zahra Cultural Fair began on Friday, August 6 at 0830 pm at husseiniyah Al-Aseel.

Programs in Jardoudiyah will continue till August 9.

In Safwa city, flocks streamed into Al-Imam Al-Hussein Mosque to attend a huge festival on the eve of Jamadi II, Thursday, August 5. Muhammad Ahmed Al-Marhon opened the festival with recitation of Quranic verses.

Sheikh Muhammad Al-Abeidan while addressing the gathering termed Sayyeda Az-Zahraa (p)’s life a beacon of light for the women world.

Yousaf Al-Barih, Hassan Al-Faraj, Abu Haitham, Vadi As-Salam group -- valley of peace – and little kids named as Ali Hussein Al-Abd Al-Baqee and Karam Al-Awami offered floral tributes to the spouse of Al-Imam Ali (p) and scented the environment by reciting eulogies.

In Taroot, a three-day program is being held organized Al-Ghadir Council at Al-Imam Zein Al-Abidin Mosque. The program began on Friday, August 6 at 1015 pm. Sayyed Diya Al-Khubbaz addressed while Sayyed Thamir, Abu Ali Ashour and Abbas As-Sabaa recited eulogies.

On Saturday, Jamadi II 21, August 7 a conference titled “Az-Zahraa - Bid’atul Mustafa” (Zahraa (p) – Part of Prophet Mustafa (p)) was held at the same venue. Ash-Sheikh Ali Aal Mohsen addressed while Sayyed Qassem Ash-Shakhs recited eulogies of Welaa.

On Sunday, August 8, a ‘welaa poetry night’ is scheduled to held at 0900 pm. Renowned poets will participate to spread the fragrance of Al-Ishq Al-Fatimi.
