S Arabia hosts annual Quran conference, Quranic Mehfil By: Abdulali
SEHAT, Saudi Arabia: Marking the holy fasting month of Ramadan, Sehat city of Saudi Arabia hosted the second annual Holy Quran Conference attended by scholars, intellectuals and thinkers. Sheikh Zacharia Dawoud Bourqa, Sheikh Abdelazim Al-Mohtadi Al-Bahrani, Sheikh Shauqi Al-Miqdad, Sheikh Faysal Al-Awami, Al-Ustaz Ali Taleb, Sheikh Habib Al-Khobbaz, Sayyed Mahmoud Al-Mousavi, Sheikh Habib Al-Jamri and other from Bahrain participated in the two-day conference (16-17 Ramadan, 30-31 October) that was held under the theme “Holy Quran, its recitation, and effects on the life of Muslims”.
Al-Ustaz Mehdi Salil ran the conference. The speakers threw light on the significance of Holy Quran, which is a complete code of life, in human life. Meanwhile, a splendid Quranic Mehfil (gathering), organized by Al-Imam Al-Mojtaba (a.s.) committee, was held in Sheikh Aqeel Mosque in Hillah on 16 Ramadan to mark the birth anniversary of Al-Imam Al-Hassan bin Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.). Ahmed Abdollah Aal-e-Ajyan, Hassan Aal-e-Ibrahim, Mahdi Al-Bouri, Usama Al-Hussein, Hussein Al-Bahar, Ahmed Abdollah Al-Awami and Al-Ustaz Baqer Al-Baqer addressed and recited.
