Moosavi says Imam Moosa Kazim (AS) defender of Shariat-e-Muhammadi By: Salman Alvi RAWALPINDI, April 21: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan has said Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.) is the leader of caravan of knowledge and defender of Shariat-e-Muhammadi and the universe is enlightened even today with his guidance. He stated this while delivering a special address on the occasion of country-wide "Youm-e-Noor" observed throughout the country on Sunday. He said Imam Musa ibne Jaffar (A.S.) introduced the Uloom-e-Muhammad and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) to the world of humanity making the tree of Islam fruitful. He said the enlightenment visible all over the world is the blessing of this pious Khanwada therefore Ma'arfat and knowledge of these pious personalities is essential as love and Muwaddat are considered obligatory on this basis. Agha Moosavi said Allah says: "If you are claimant of love with Allah, then follow the Rasool, then Allah will also love you." He said the Holy Prophet (SAW) by loving Ahle Bait Athaar (A.S.) himself declared upon the universe that doing so is Asswah-e-Muhammad. He said devotion of love of Allama Iqbal (R.A.) with the Holy Prophet is crystal clear who while spelling out the reason of humiliation of Muslims at large says: "I kept on shedding tear one night before Allah and asked why Muslims are being humiliated, a voice was heard saying that do you know there is a heart in chest of this nation but there is no beloved in it." That is why, he said, Iqbal kept on seeking the attention of the whole world throughout his life towards Muhammad and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) and why should not he done so because the Holy Prophet (SAW) had asked the whole universe that their survival lay in Quran and Ahle Bait. The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said Allama Iqbal presented the image of Pakistan in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW) considering him a complete example to lead and not only identified a great objective for Muslims rather readied them to struggle for achieving great supremacy and introduced to them a personality like Muhammad Ali Jinnah as Quaid-i-Azam to enable them achieve success. Unfortunately, he said the sayings of Iqbal and the golden principles of Quaid-i-Azam were set aside after the creation of Pakistan owing to which the dream of restoring a true welfare Islamic society could not come true and we are back to square one after passage of even 55 years. He said men in "khaki" and "white" befooled the nation, they themselves reaped the benefits of power but confronted the nation and the country with poverty, hunger, unemployment and price hike. The nation was still facing the brunt of terrorism and terrorists and there is need of the hour to follow the seerat and character of Aal-e-Muhammad Athaar (A.S.) to get rid of the same, he added. END Muharram - the month of grief By: Yawar Mehdi Muslim New Year rises as a month of grief for it revives and revivifies human memory about an event which occurred little over 1400 years ago on the plains of Karbala, situated on the bank of Euphrates, 105 km from Baghdad, Iraq. On the 10th of Muharrum Imam Hussain (A.S), along with his family and companions, fell martyr under the most treacherous and calamitous conditions ever chronicled in the annals of civilized world. Imam Hussain (A.S) was the Grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) the son of Imam Ali (A.S). Imam was born in Medina, on the third of Sha'ban (8th month of Islamic calendar). Yazid was son of Muawiyah bin Abu Sufyan, after the death of his father; Yazid usurped and unjustly ascended the throne of caliphate and demanded allegiance from Imam Hussain (A.S), knowing well Imams allegiance would legitimize his rule. Yazid was known for his devilish character, he mocked at the fundamentals of Islam, practiced every vice and wickedness freely. Imam Hussain (A.S) said that he would never submit to the devil in place of Allah and undo what his Grandfather, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) had established. The refusal of Imam Hussain (A.S) to pay allegiance to Yazid marked the start of his persecution. The people of Kufa, Iraq, who were fed-up of the tyrannical and satanic rule of Yazid, had written numerous letters and sent emissaries to Imam Hussain (A.S) to come to Kufa for their guidance. The divinely chosen Imam set out with his family members, relatives and companions to fulfil Allah's desires and to establish right from wrong. First he went to Mecca for Hajj (Pilgrimage) but Yazid as being wily and machinating sent assassins to kill Imam in the guise of Hajjis. But Imam as being righteous, peaceful and upholding the true spirit of Islam did not want blood shed in the holy land, and immediately converted his Hajj into Ummrah and left for Kufa. During his journey towards Kufa, Imam was stopped midway by Yazid's army, who were very thirsty, Imam ordered his companions to give them as much water as they want. Imam carried on with his journey and on the 2nd of Muharram reaching Karbala camped at the bank of Euphrates but was forced by Yazid's army to take their camps away from Euphrates. The caravan was deprived of water from the 7th of Muharram. On the 10th of Muharram each member of Imam's force bravely went out, fought and were martyred, 72 in all. The tyrants didn't even spare his 6-month-old son and pinned a deadly arrow in the baby's neck. It can better be imagined then described the physical suffering of Imam Hussain (A.S), his relative and companions in the burning desert under the scorching Arabian sun, the wriggling of the babies, nothing to feed, no water to drink a worst torturous situation surrounded by most merciless enemy. There is no doubt that Imam Hussain (A.S) suffered a lot of physical suffering but he gained unprecedented moral victory over injustice, immorality and usurping. Imam Hussain (A.S) emancipated humanity by inflicting an eternal blow to the treacherous diplomacy, oppression and evil. His sacrifices and sufferings are unparalleled in human history. He not only revived the true principles of Islam but also emerged as the leader and a symbol of righteousness for entire mankind and the holy gatherings of sorrow to commemorate the incident of kerbala and the great sacrifices of Imam and his companions will continue to be held all over the world till the Day of Judgement.
