To them (the Household of the Prophet)
pertain the noblest of human virtues
described in the Qur'an,
and they are the treasures of the
Beneficent Allah.
When they speak, they speak the truth,
but when they keep quiet,
no one can out strip them.
The leader should speak truthfully to his people,
and put all his intelligence to work.
He should be one of those who work for
the next world,
because he has come from there
and would return to it.

Good tidings:
Allah sent Muhammad, may God
Bless him and his Household,
as a witness,
a bearer of good tidings,
and a warner.
the best of the creation as a child,
and the most chaste amongst them
as a grown up,
the purest of the pure in conduct,
and the most generous of those
who are approached for their
generosity.
About Jesus:
I will tell you about Jesus,
son of Mary.
he had a stone for his pillow,
wore coarse dress,
and ate rough food.
His lamp at night was the moon,
and the earth's vast expanse east and
west, his roof during winter.
His dessert and relish were
what grows on the earth for cattle.
His feet were his means of transport
and his two hands his servant.

Poet: Khadeijah Stephens
I have two angels that follow me
wherever I may go,
One of them is quick to write,
the other one is slow.
The one who is quick to write
Is when I'm being good
The other doesn't like to write
Even when he should!
The one who doesn't like to write
Is when I being bad
He wants to hear me say "I'm sorry"
To my mum and dad.
And when I say, "I'm sorry Allah,
I won't do that again"
He rubs away my bad deed
Marked against my name.
The one who is quick to write,
Writes the good I try to do
Even, when it doesn't work out right
He writes that one down too
So when I get to Paradise
Waiting there for me
Will be lots of lovely presents -
Oh, how happy I will be!

Poetry of Khalil Gibran about children
|
By: zareen
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot
visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent
forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends
you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow
that is stable. - Gibran

The birds are subject to His commands. He knows the number of their feathers and the count of their breaths. He has made their feet to stand on water and on land. He knows all their species. There is the crow, and the eagle, the pigeon, and the ostrich.

- 1. MAULA ALI SAYS : Do not force your children to behave like you,for surely
they have been created for a time which is different to your time.
- 2. MAULA ALI SAYS : It should be your aim to display more kindness towards
your child than the kindness that he displays towards you.
- 3. MAULA ALI SAYS : Surely the heart of a child is like fallow ground
whatever is planted in it is accepted by it
- 4. MAULA ALI SAYS : If you scold a child, then leave him room to turn away
from his wrong action, so that you do not leave him with obstinacy as his only way out.
- 5. MAULA ALI SAYS : When a father beats his child it is like putting manure
on a young crop.

Fatimah, 8 years and her younger brother Hasan, 6 years, after finishing their homework
came to their grandmother, who was busy in reading a book. Fatimah asked her: "grand mom,
what are you reading"?
Grand mom: "oh my dear children, the flowers of my life, the light of my eyes, I was reading
a book about Islam".
Hasan: "grand mom, what is Islam" he asked this while sitting in her lap.
Grand mom: "Islam is our religion; the only true faith in Allah's sight is Islam; and it
consist of Usool and faro."
Fatimah: "what are Usool and Faru"?
Grand mom: "Usool means the roots and Faru means the branches, there are 5 roots and 10 branches
of Islam".
Hasan: "Is Islam a tree which has roots and branches"?
Grand mom: "oh yes, my dear son, the spring of my days, Islam is a very strong tree"
Fatimah: "tell us about the roots and branches of His tree (Islam)".
Grand mom: "Tauheed; Adal; Nubuwwat; Imamat and Qayamat are its 5 roots. It means that we
believe in oneness of God and that He is Just. For the guidance of His people he sent one
lakh and twenty four thousand Prophets. Hazrat Adam (A.S) ios first while Hazrat Muhammad
(Peace of Allah be upon him & His Aal) is the last of them. After His last Prophet, He had
appointed Imams from his (P.B.U.H & His Aal) progeny, for the guidance of people. Qayamat
means, a day will certainly come when everyone has to get for what he has done in the world."
The children were all ears to their grand mom's interesting and wonderful talk and said: "tell
us more about Islam".
Grand mom: "They are 12 in number; they are pure, sinless, Allah's Proofs to His creatures,
the beacons of light, the guides and the path towards Allah. People will be called for,
on the day of Judgement with their Imam".
Hasan asked eagerly : "then who is the Imam of our era"?
Grand mom: "The 12th Imam Hazrat Imam Al-Mehdi (Ajjalallahu Ta'ala Farajahu), the son of
Hazrat Imam Hasan Askari (AS) and Hazrat Narjis Khatoon (A.S)".
Fatimah: "Tell us more about the owner of the era who is the hope of the weak and oppressed".
The grand mom looked at her with great love and said: "h my dear daughter. Allah almighty
had mentioned more then a hundred verses in Quran concerning the Awaited Imam Hujjatul Asr
(A.S), among them in Sura An-noor:
"Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that he will, of
surety, appoint them successors in the land, (inheritance of power), as He granted it to those
before them; that he will establish in authority their religion, the one which he has chosen
for them; and that he will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one
of security and peace…"
If you search through the Hadith of Holy Prophet (peace of Allah be upon him & his Aal), you
will find more than 3000 hadith mentioning the awaited Imam, among these are:
"Al-Mehdi, among my sons, his name is my name, his nickname is my nickname, and he is the most
resemblance to me, physically and morally".
"Al-Mehdi, among my sons, has a disappearance, when he reappears, he will fill the world with
fairness and justice".
There are many names for the Imam, among them are: Al-Mehdi, (the guider) Al-Hujjah
(the evidence)
Al-Qa'im (the up-riser) Al-Haadi (The guide)
Al-Muntazar (the awaited)
Sahib-Al Amer (the owner of the order)
Sahib-Al Zaman (The Controller of the era)
Immediately but yet very politely when the grand mom finished her talk, Fatimah said:
"dear grand mom, you have enriched us by telling us about our Imam but we also want to
know when & where was he born? And where is he now?"
The loving grand mom answered: "dear children, the awaited Imam was born in Samra which is a
city of Iraq on 15th of Sha'abaan. Imam has two disappearances: a short disappearance; and the
long disapperance. Ist 5 years of his life, he lived with his father Hazrat Imam Hasan Askari(AS).
Then his short disappearance began from when he was 6 years of age until the death of the fourth
deputy in year 329 higri. In these years He reached the people or vice versa through the four
deputies, each had a certain period to be the connection between Imam and the people. The long
disappearance began the year 329 hijri and is continuing until now. There are many cases that
the Imam has met believers. He shall, one day, appear by the Command of Allah and shall bring
peace, fairness and justice to Earth just as it is filled wit destruction, unfairness and
oppression".
The children were very happy for these teachings about Imam-e-Zamana. So they kissed and0
thanked their grand mom.
