Al-Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (peace be upon him), son-in-law, cousin and the first infallible successor of holy Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was born on Rajab 13 in the Holy Ka’abah (House of Allah) in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia. His mother Fatimah Bint Assad (peace be upon her), at the time of his birth, was called to the holy Ka’abah and as she came close to it, the wall of Ka’abah became cracked and she was ordered by Allah to enter it. There Imam Ali was born and she remained guest of Allah for three days there. After three days she came out of Ka’abah holding little Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in her lap.

Rose of Zahra-e-Marziah,
Martyred viciously on the land,
Known as Karb-O-Bala,
On Asr-e-Ashoora,

Imam Sadiq (A)’s recommendations to seeker of right path
Have you ever heard of "Unwan al-Basri's tradition"? Allama Tabatabai's late master of practical ethics, Ayatollah Seyyid Ali Qazi Tabataba’i (may their souls be sanctified), refused to teach Islamic practical ethics to any new student unless he expressed his commitment to this tradition. The late 'Ayatollah Qazi (may God have mercy on him) used to recommend this tradition to his students, who sought the mystical journey to God the Almighty.

Qadr means honour and dignity. Lailatul Qadr means the night of honour and dignity. This is one of the holiest and most blessed nights. According to the reports of the religions great ones, it is hidden among three nights the 19th, 21st, and 23rd of Ramadan. The reward of worship on this night is better than the worship of a thousand months of worship, equivalent to a person's lifetime.

“I thank Thee O’ Lord for a martyr’s death”
Sleep reigned over the Kufan town,
As from the mosque came a godly sound.
The call for prayer filled the sky,
Moving the air with a gentle sigh.
Awakening Muslims with a gentle prod,
“O people come, and pray to God.”

Imam Musa Al-Kazim (A.S.) and Ali ibn Yaqtin
Ibrahim Jammaal wanted to meet ‘Ali Ibn Yaqtin, the Prime Minister of Harun the Caliph, but he was not granted an audience. The same year ‘Ali Ibn Yaqtin was honoured by Hajj and later went to Madinah and decided to meet Imam Musa al-Kadhim (a.s.) but Imam (a.s.) did not permit him to enter. Again the next day he presented himself and upon the refusal of Imam (a.s.) asked as to what sin he had committed that Imam (a.s.) did not want to meet him. Imam (a.s.) said that since he had refused to meet his brother, the Almighty Allah would not allow his efforts to succeed, till the time Ibrahīm Jammāl does not forgive him. ‘Ali ibn Yaqtin said that since he was in Madinah and Ibrahim Jammal in Kufa how was it possible to obtain his forgiveness at that moment?

Hazrat Zahra (as) in the verse of Mubahila

Event of Mubahila is famous and is known to all Muslims. Islamic scholars are united on the fact that the verse of Mubahila was revealed in regard to the Christian delegation who came from Najran to dispute the issue of Isa Ibn Maryam/Jesus son of Mary (AS) with the Prophet (SAW). In v.6 of Bihar, Imam Ali (AS) mentioned the event in the following manner:

8 Zilhajj - Start of Imam Hussain (A) journey from Makkah to Karbala
8 Zilhajj is the day when holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S)’s grandson Hazrat Imam Hussain (A) converted his Pilgrimage (Hajj) into off-seasonal Pilgrimage (Umra) and started his journey from Makkah towards Iraq so to save the sanctity and honor of this sacred place (ka’aba). In this way the heinous conspiracy of Bannu Umayyad to trample the sanctity and honor of Ka’aba by shedding blood of Imam Hussain (A) there, had been failed.
