By: Jafariyanews

RAWALPINDI, March 25: Ashoora-e-Muharram was observed with due religious fervour and devotion in Rawalpindi and Federal Capital Islamabad like other cities of the country paying tributes to Nawasa-e-Rasool (A.S.), Dilband-e-Ali (A.S.) and Batool (S.A.) and his 72 comapanions and near & dear ones who kissed martyrdom in Karbala. The day started with Amaal-e-Ashoora led by Quaid Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi at Ali Masjid, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. Masaib-e-Ashoora were also stated on this occasion. The main Zuljinah, Alam and Tazia processions were taken out from Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain, College Road and Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah, Bohar Bazar. Zuljinah processions taken out from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain Teli Mohallah, Darbar Shah Chan Chiragh, and Imambargah Kashmirian Tyre Bazar also joined the main procession. The mourners on this occasion performed Zanjeer-Zani to express their devotion with the Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.).

The Ashoora procession comprised Zuljinah, Alam, Tazia, Mehndi Shahzada Qasim (A.S.), Gehwara-e-Masoom Ali Asghar (A.S.), Taboot Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) and other Taburkaat. Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi participated in the main Ashoora procession, offered Ziarat of the Taburkaat and took part in Matamdari. Thousands of Azadars took part in Zanjeer-Zani and Matam-e-Qamah at Bohar Bazar Chowk, Trunk Bazar and Habib Bank Chowk. The procession turned into a big public meeting after reaching Fawwara Chowk where Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central Secretary Information, Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, addressing Azadaran-e-Hussain said Azadari is a universal protest of the oppressed against Zulm and the oppressors. He said the sacrifice of the Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) was for the survival of Deen-e-Islam and humanity. Hussain (A.S.) who was brought up in the Aghosh-e-Risalat accepted Shahadat while in Sajdah-e-Khaliq but refused to accept the supremacy (Baia'at) of the sinful and debauched Yazid (L.A.) giving a lesson to the freedom fighters the world over to face tyranny and Yazidiyyat with courage and not to bow down to their uncalled for whims.

Qamar Zaidi made it clear that Azadari does not belong to any particular fiqh or group rather it is the combined inheritance of all schools of thought, which was crystal clear from the fact that all Sunni-Shia brethren arrange Sabeels and Nazr-o-Niaz in remembrance of Shuhada-e-Karbala. He announced among vociferous slogans of the participants that no restriction on Azadari would be accepted come what may. The thousands of Matamdars gathered on the occasion reiterated their resolve to offer any sacrifice on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi for the promotion of Wilayat-e-Ali and protection of Azadari-e-Hussain. Ch. Mushtaq Hussain also addressed the gathering on this occasion. The participants of the procession unanimously approved different resolutions presented by Raza Abdi, a leader of the District Muharram Committee of the TNFJ.

A resolution adopted on the occasion thanked all schools of thought for exemplary unity and brotherhood showed by them during Ashra-e-Muharram throughout the country and expressed the hope that they would continue this brotherhood spirit in future also. The participants appreciated the decision of President of Pakistan to observe Youm-e-Pakistan on 23rd March with simplicity but at the same time termed the meetings of the President with politicians during the Ashra-e-Muharram painful and considered that political rallies organised during Ashra-e-Muharram also disturbed the Shia community. The resolution considered that although electronic media presented good programmes but most of these programmes were old and no effort was made to prepare new programmes while comedy programmes continued till Shab-e-Ashoor contrary to the dignity of Muharram. The resolution highlighting the complaints received from different religious and Matmi organisations said the print media did not cooperate in publication of news and pictures covering the Majalis-e-Aza programmes this year while wedding ceremonies held during Ashra-e-Muharram were given extraordinary coverage which is tragic and tantamount to trampling the dignity and honour of Muharram. The participants demanded from the APNS and the CPNE to take notice of this injustifiable attitude and correct this situation by giving full coverage of the Majalis and Azadari processions organised to commemorate Shuhada-e-Karbala on Youm-e-Ashoor along with photographs.

Another resolution termed the formation of Muharram Cell at Interior Ministry a good step but expressed concern that the Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan governments have not yet informed the Markaz about formation of these Cells therefore, the resolution demanded that telephone numbers of these Cells should be publicised so as to resolve the problems of Azadars. Terming the Anti-Terrorism Ordinance of correct step, the resolution stressed the need to turn the decision into reality and strongly demanded from the government to immediately release all innocent people including the workers of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya who had been arrested in the name of banned organisations and were still behind the bars despite clear-cut notification for their release issued by the Interior Ministry. The resolution opined that some banned organisations were a part of alliances and this gathering demands from these alliances that inclusion of these banned organisations into their alliances was not only tantamount to sabotage the Anti-Terrorism Ordinance but to strengthen terrorists and terrorism and could be considered enmity with the nation and the country. The resolution said that we should give priority to the interests of the nation and the country instead of parties. The resolution demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment for assassins of all terrorism incidents including Shah-e-Najaf Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore. The resolution thanked the local Administration for making suitable arrangements for Majalis and Azadari processions during Ashra-e-Muharram. Strongly condemning the anti-Muslim riots in India and oppressive Hindu and Zionist attitude in Kashmir and Palestine, the resolution assured that the independence movements of Kashmiri and Palestinian Karbalas would definitely succeed.

The gathering of Ashoora procession resolved to offer any sacrifice on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi for the protection of religious rights of the Millat-e-Jafariya Pakistan and promotion of Azadari. They said they would sacrifice everything but would not allow any harm to be caused to the mission of Wila, Aza, and to Islam and Pakistan and would prove a guiding force in defending the religion and the motherland, would give priority to the interests of the nation and the country over all other things and would thwart every conspiracy aimed at disturbing unity and brotherhood because they consider love for motherland a part of their Iman. Khateeb Fateh-e-Farat also addressed Majlis Sham-e-Ghariban when the procession reached the Qila.

Later, the main procession terminated at Imambargah Qadeem after marching through Raja Bazar and Jamia Masjid Road. The Alam, Zuljinah and Tazia processions coming out from Imambargah Yadgar-e-Hussain Satellite Town and Imambargah Baltistania Angatpura performed Zanjeer-Zani at Banni Chowk and later terminated at Imambargah Qadeem. Mukhtar Force and Mukhtar Students Organisation set up Azadari Camp. The Medical Camp set up by MSO provided first-aid to Zanjeer-Zans. Office-bearers of the Muharram Committee of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya District Rawalpinti accompanied the procession while various religious, Matmi and social organisations made arrangements for Sabeel and Langar-e-Hussaini all along the route of the procession.
