Majalis-e-Sham-e-Ghariban held across the globe

LUCKNOW, India: Majalis-e-Sham-e-Ghariban - the major event to mark the day of Ashoora - were organized in Mosques, Imambargahs, Hussainyas, and Azakhanas across the world on the eve of the Day of Ashura, in which speakers described masa'ib of Ahle Bayt (AS).

In India, majalis-e-Sham-e-Ghariban were held after maghrebayn prayers in different imambargahs and mosques including Masjid-e-Iraniya, Khoja Masjid, Bombay, Karbala mosque, New Delhi and Bara Imambara. In majalis, nohas and marsiyas were presented as tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.

In Pakistan, Majalis-e-Sham-e-Ghariban were held in all four provinces including northern areas and Azad Kashmir. Majalis were held at Jamia tul Murtaza G/9-4, Qasr-e-Imam Musa Kazim, Imambargah Jamia Imam As Sadiq, Imambargah G/6-2 (Islamabad), Ali Masjid, Imambargah Zain ul Abideen, Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah, Imambargah col. Maqbool Hussain, Azakhana Ali Sarkar, Qasre Sajjadia Khanna Kak, Imambargah Qasrul Hasnain Bangesh Coloney, Qadeemi Imambargah, Darbar Shah Chan Charagh, Imambargah Fatmia, Azakhana Abu Muhammad Rizvi, Qasr-e-Abu Talib and Imambargah Nasir ul Aza (Rawalpindi), Karbala Game Shah, Nisar Haweli, Bibi Pak Damna and Mochi Gate (Lahore), Imambargah Kharadar, Mehfil-e-Shah-e-Khurasan, Imambargah Shuhada e karbala Ancholi, markazi imambargah Jafar-e-Tayyar Malir, imambargah Babul Hawaij, Babul Ilm, Al Mohsin Hall, Hussaini Mission, Imambargah Shah Faisal Colony, Imambargah Abu Turab Azizabad, Imambargah Qadam Gah Mola Ali (AS) and Imambargah Rizvia Society (Karachi), Imambargah Risaldar Adil Beg, Koucha Risaldar and Imambargah Haji Rehman Malik (Peshawar), markazi Imambargah, Imambargah Alamdar Road (Quetta) and Imambargah Bukhari (Azad Kashmir).

In Iraq, thousands of mourners attended Majalis of Sham-e-Ghareeban, held at the holy shrines of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), Hazrat Ghazi Abbas (AS), Hazrat Ali Murtaz (AS), Hazrat Imam Moosa Kazim (AS), Hazrat Imam Muhammad Taqi (AS), Hazrat Imam Ali Naqi (AS) and Hazrat Imam Hasan Askari (AS).

In Syria, Majalis of Sham-e-Ghareeban was held at the holy Shrine of Shareeka tul Hussain (AS), Hazrat Syeda Zainab (AS).

In Iran, Majalis of Sham-e-Ghareeban were held at the holy mausoleum of Hazrat Imam Raza (AS), Mash'had, holy shrine of Hazrat Masooma e Qum, imambargah Abdul Azeem Hasni and tomb of late Ayatullah Khomeini.

In United States, Majalis of Sham-e-Ghareeban were held at different Imambargahs and centers including Imam Al-Khoei Islamic Center New York, Islamic Education Center (IEC) of Houston, Texas.

In Britain, majalis-e-Sham-e-Ghariban were held at nearly 300 Imambargahs including Idara-e-Jafariya London and Hussaini Islamic Mission Hounslow.

In Dubai, Mulana Syed Hussain Kamal addressed majlis- e-Sham-e-Ghariban at Dubai Imambargah.
