Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions across the Pakistan

RAWALPINDI, March 26: Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions continued throughout the country today to pay homage to Shuhada-e-Karbala who sacrificed their lives for the survival of religion of Islam and supremacy of Godly principles. A huge procession was taken from Chaur Harpal Rawalpindi in connection with the Annual Azadari established by renowned Azadar, Late Bawa Syed Karam Hussain Shah Kazmi in which more than a lakh Matmi Azadars belonging to different parts of the Punjab took part to offer "Pursa" to Khatoon-e-Jannat for her oppressed son Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his die-hard companions. Profuse Zanjeer-Zani was performed at Chaur Harpal Chowk where MSO Rawalpindi Cantt. had established medical camp to provide first aid to Matmi Azadars besides establishing Sabeel-e-Hussaini for them.

Various ulema and zakireen highlighted the philosophy of Shahadat while addressing Majlis-e-Shahadat held at Malik House during the procession. The participants of the Majlis adopted a resolution expressing satisfaction over forming Muharram Cell at the Interior Ministry. The resolution strongly condemned the attitude of the print media during the Ashra-e-Muharram for not giving proper coverage to Majalis held in remembrance of Shuhada-e-Karbala. Another resolution demanded from the government to enforce the implemention of Anti-Terrorism Ordinance and take stringent action against the banned organisations that have activated themselves with new names. It also demanded from the government to arrest the culprits of incidents of terrorism reported from all over the country including that of Masjid Shah-e-Najaf Khayaban-e-Sir Syed Rawalpindi and give them exemplary punishment.

After the Majlis, the procession terminated at Darbar Aalia Sakhi Shah Piyara after marching through its designated route. TNFJ District Muharram Committee Convener Haji Ghulam Murtaza Chauhan and Mukhtar Force jawans remained with the procession all along its route.

According to Special Correspondent from Chakwal, the Annual Matmi procession was taken out from Bayadgar Shuhada-e-Karbala in Varyamal in which a large number of Matamdars participated. A Majlis-e-Aza was held at Markazi Imambargah on this occasion, which was addressed by renowned ulema, waizeen and zakireen of the country.

Syed Intizar Kazmi reported from Islamabad that Annual Zuljinah procession was taken out from Noorpur Shahan Bari Imam Islamabad under the auspices of Syed Nawazish Ali Shah Kazmi in which a large number of Azadars participated. The procession terminated at Darbar Aalia Hazrat Bari Imam after passing through its designated route.
