Bokhari demands immediate release of innocent detainees belonging to TNFJ

ISLAMABAD, May 12: The Chairman TNFJ Political Cell, S.A. Bokhari has said that terrorism is a heinous conspiracy against the nation and the country. He stated this in an important meeting of central office-bearers held here on Monday. He said continued incidents of terrorism were actually aimed at trampling the dignity and honour of the motherland and to defame it in the world. He said the President of Pakistan Gen. Pervez Musharraf first issued Anti-Terrorism Ordinance and now has formed Anti-Terrorism Cell, which is the voice of the whole nation but, he added, there is need to transform these directives into reality.

Bokhari said some elements were creating hurdles in implementing President's decision and black sheep are there in almost every department who desire to sabotage the Anti-Terrorism Ordinance and Anti-Terrorism Cell, therefore, the Administration has arrested innocent people instead of real terrorists in the recent crackdown sending a wave of harassment throughout the country culminating in disappointment. He said the real job of the government is to restore law and order and to root out fear and harassment but the government, this time again, has arrested the people belonging to Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya on which there is no restriction. Those who are arrested without any cogent reasons are: Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Central Secretary General TNFJ and former President of Bar Council Kohat; Syed Shabab Al-Hussaini, District President TNFJ; Jawwad Hussain Jawwad, Provincial Secretary General Sarhad TNFJ; and Sher Muhammad, TNFJ worker from District Kohat. He said this situation is extremely uncalled for because innocent people are being punished for the sins of those who are committing these sins and the terrorism could not be rooted unless this trend is given up.

The TNFJ Political Cell Chairman demanded from the government to release these arrested innocent people belonging to TNFJ forthwith. He said we always exercised patience and restraint on every occasion but there should be a limit to every thing. He said fulfilling the norms of justice and fair-play for the integrity, solidarity, dignity and honour of the motherland is the sheer responsibility of the powers that be.
