Millions visit the mausoleum of Imam Hussein (AS) on Arbaeen

KARBALA, Iraq: Millions of za'ereen got the honour of visiting the Holy places in Iraq especially the mausoleum of The Lord of Martyrs Hazrat Imam Hussein (AS) from different parts of the world to commemorate Arbaeen-e-Hussaini on Safar 20.

This year, Karbala-e-Mo'alla was filled with zaereen of different ages and nationalities to this extend that hotels were overcrowded. Hundreds of thousands of visitors were seen making place on the ground situated between the holy mausoleums of Hazrat Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Ghazi Abbas (AS).

Moosavi lauds practical display of unity on Chehlum of Shuhada-e-Karbala

RAWALPINDI, May 05: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan has said that practical display of unity, brotherhood and mutual understanding by all schools of thought on the occasion of Chehlum of Shuhada-e-Karbala is laudable. He said all schools of thought have proved through their character and deeds that the sacrifice offered by Imam Hussain (A.S.) was not meant for any particular Maktab, Maslak, fiqh or a country but for respect to mankind and survival of humanity, and that Syed-us-Shuhada (A.S.) is not only Mohsin-e-Islam but Mohsin-e-Bashariyyat also.

In a statement issued from Tehreek headquarters on Sunday, Agha Moosavi thanked all Makatib, the Administration, and even the minorities from the core of his heart for practically proving that Hussain (A.S.) belongs to all and Hussain (A.S.) belongs to Allah. He expressed the hope that they would also prove through their words and deeds that they are united against their combined enemy and would thwart its every conspiracy and mischief by proving a concrete wall against it.

The TNFJ chief said the Ayyam-e-Aza would continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal with the same respect and dignity, therefore, the Mohibban-e-Muhammad and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) and Azadaran should give priority to Azadari over all other matters, work for the solidarity of religion, motherland and the people and avoid doing any thing that would be contrary to the interest of the religion, motherland and the nation. He said at present the whole Muslim Ummah is under the grip of international colonial powers, enemy forces were deployed on the country's borders, enemy is engaged in occasional firing, a girl was martyred in such firing incident the other day. On the other, he said, America and India were starting joint exercises, agreement has been signed to provide India with radars that is a shadow of dual and Hippocratic attitude on the part of chief of the terrorist world, i.e. America. He termed America the biggest reptile of the world that could not give up biting even after being profusely fed by milk. He said America and her agents look after their interest only.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said Momin keeps his eye on future, American designs are dangerous and the whole Islamic World should wake up from deep slumber. He said the Muslim Ummah will have to adopt a joint strategy and exercise wisdom and seriousness if they desire to save the Islamic World and humanity as it is the lesson preached by Hussainiyyat and is the key to success.

Youm-e-Arbaeen observed in Texas

TEXAS: In commemoration of Arbaeen-e-Hussaini, a program was arranged at Islamic Center of Momin, 1019 Perry Road Irving, Texas on 20th Safar - May 3, 2002 on Friday.

Salaat-e-Juma and Amal-e-Arbaeen were offered at 1:35 PM. Sisters' Majlis in Urdu was held at 5:00 PM.

Another program started at 7:00 PM with the recitation of The Holy Quran. After Soz, Salaam, Marsia (in Arabic, English, and Persian) majlis - English & Urdu was held at 7:15 PM. Ziarat was recited at 8:15 PM.

After Salaat-e-Maghrabayn at 8:30 PM Dinner/Niaz was served.

Arabeen-e-Husseini in Qom

QOM, Iran: A majlis-e-Aza in connection with Arbaeen-e-Husseini was held at the residence of Grand Ayatullah Husseini Shirazi (late) in the holy city of Qom on Friday safar 20.

Ayatullah Sayed Sadiq Shirazi, Late Grand Ayatullah Shirazi's sons, Azadaraan-e-Imam-e-Mazloom (AS) attended the majlis to offer condolences in the respect worthy court of Imam-e-Zamana (ATF).

Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Aqa-e-Takia, Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Aqa-e-Syed Karbalayi, Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Aqa-e-Mahmoudi addressed the majlis.

Brother in law Grand Ayatullah Sadiq Shirazi buried in Haram-e-Sayeda Zainab (AS)

DAMASCUS, Syria: Funeral rites of Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Haaj Sayed Sabit Aal-e-sabit, brother in law Grand Ayatullah Haaj Sayed Sadiq Husseini Shirazi were offered in Damascus on Friday, May 3.

He was died in Kuwait. A large number of scholars and buzurgaan-e-deen attended the funeral procession. Ayatullah sayed Hadi Modarresi led funeral prayer. Decease was buried in Haram-e-mutahira Hazrat Sayeda Zainab (AS).
