Majlis, Jaloos-e-chehlum in Toronto

Majalis-e-Aza and Azadari processions in connection with the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (A.S) the Grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H & H.P) the son of Imam Ali (A.S) started throughout the world from Friday.

Azadaran Syed-us-Shuhada, ulema, zakireen, waizeen, khutaba and Noha-Khwans fully participated in Azadari programmes to present "Pursa" to the Masoom (A.S.).

A Majlis-e-Chehlum was held at Markazi Imambargah Husainiyah Toronto. A procession was taken out Saturday from Milliken Park, McCowan Rd Toronto at 3.30 pm. Thousands of men, women and children participated in the procession, marching through the designated route terminated at the Imambargah Husainiyah. A large number of Matmi Sangats participated in the procession.

Addressing the procession Allama Farhat Hussein Moosavi and Allama Abid Raza Naqvi highlighted the great sacrifices rendered by Imam Hussain (A.S.) along with his children and relatives.

They also strongly condemned Thursday explosion in the congregation of

Majlis-e-Aza in Bhakkar, Pakistan. They said that during the two and half years period hundreds of innocent civilians have been killed in different acts of terrorism in Pakistan.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected families," They categorically denounced such acts of violence and openly declared that the perpetrators of these acts have no right to call themselves Muslims as Islam is the religion of peace and does not preach killing human beings. Where the Anti-Terrorism Ordinance has gone?
