Moosavi says objective of terror incidents destabilizing Pakistan By: Salman Alvi RAWALPINDI, May 08: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan, has strongly condemned gory murder of three persons in Lahore including renowned scholar Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Malik, murder of 12 French citizens including two Pakistanis in suicide bomb attacks in Karachi, murder of an Awami Tehreek leader in Nawabshah, bomb blasts in Tank, six missile attacks in Balochistan, and murder of police officials in terrorist attacks in Rawalpindi. In a statement, issued here on Wednesday, he termed all these incidents a part of continued terrorism. He said after the Shah-e-Najaf and Bhakkar incidents in Punjab, the wave of terrorism has increased to a large extent, particularly the suicide bomb attack in Karachi provides food for thought. Agha Moosavi said murder of Prof. Zafar Mehdi and Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Malik is the murder of knowledge and skill while murder of innocent citizens is the murder of mankind. He said the loss of life of the countrymen in incidents of terrorism without any discrimination has proved our point of view as correct that there is no Maktabi or Maslaki conflict in Pakistan rather the objective of such incidents is to spread anarchy in the country, destabilise it and to punish it for becoming an atomic power and it is the heinous conspiracy of our combined enemy. He said the heinous game of terrorism is being played in Pakistan to divert the world attention from the acts of Indian and Israeli oppression and brutalities in India and Palestine, respectively. He said Hindus and Zionists were earning a bad name throughout the world owing to their black deeds. The TNFJ chief said the provincial governments keep quiet after shedding some crocodile tears whenever any act of terrorism is reported. He said implementation on the Anti-Terrorism Ordinance issued by the President of Pakistan is the responsibility of the Interior Ministry and the provincial governments but some provincial governments make terrorists sit along side them, on the contrary. He called upon the President to take serious notice of this situation that why the real terrorists were not being treated with an iron hand despite issuance of Anti-Terrorism Ordinance and what the intelligence agencies were doing as it has become a serious issue in the presence of enemy deployment on our borders and the possible onslaught of the political parties in favour of restoration of democracy after the Referendum. This slackness on the part of provincial governments, he said could also be a conspiracy against restoration of democracy. He said Ayyam-e-Aza programmes would continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal while Eid-e-Milad processions will be taken out throughout the country on 12th Rabiul Awwal, therefore, the government should take concrete steps to ensure peace during this period. He said the rulers who fail in providing protection to their people have no justification to rule the country. The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi advised the President of Pakistan to divert all his energies to get the Anti-Terrorism Ordinance implemented and to tight the noose around terrorists so that Islam and Pakistan could be freed from the influence of terrorists. He said the countrymen have proved through their words and deeds that no enemy could create rift amongst us, we are branches of the Tree of Islam, are its arms and power and we offer our lives for the protection of Nazria-e-Asaasi. He strongly demanded from the government to form an enquiry board immediately to probe all incidents of terrorism, and the culprits should be arrested and awarded exemplary punishment. He expressed heart-felt sympathies with all bereaved families. END Old Karbala - Azadari pictures By: Ismail Zabeeh
