Marasim-e-aza, layali Al-Qadr begin in Iran

HOLY CITY OF MASH’HAD, Iran: Amaal laytul Qadr (the night of glory) began throughout Iran on Sunday from 19th night of holy month of Ramazan (the night between Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 Ramazan) besides azadari programs to mark zarbat and shahadat of Ameerul Momineen Hazrat Imam Ali (AS).
A large number of mourners from different parts of world and across Iran visited the holy shrine of Hazrat Imam Ali Raza (AS) bin Hazrat Imam Moosa Kazim (AS) in the holy city of Mash’had to pay him (AS) their condolences on the heartrending occasion. They also performed Amaal of Laylatul Qadr.
The mourners also visited the holy shrine of Hazrat Sayyedah Fatimah Al-Masoomah (SA) bint-e-Hazrat Imam Moosa Kazim (AS) in Qom Al-Moqaddesah. Holding majalis, shedding tears and performing matam, the mourners offered her (SA) condolences on the martyrdom of her grand father Abul A’immah Hazrat Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (AS).
In Tehran, the programs were held at the tomb of late founder of Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatullah Roohullah Khomeini (RA) and the holy grave of Sayed Abdul Azeem Al-Hasani (AS) as well as other mosques and Hussainiyaat.

Ayat Khamenei lauds services of war veterans

TEHRAN, Iran: The Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatullah Ali Khamenei said the independence, progress and efficiency of the Islamic Revolution was due to the self-sacrifice acts of those people who devoted themselves to the Revolution.
The leader made his remarks while talking to a number of war veterans who called on him in Tehran on Saturday to address the scientific, cultural, arts and sports issues.
Some of the disabled war veterans commented during meeting on their activities in the fields of arts, sports and social activities. Some of the disabled are holding ranking posts despite being physically 70 % infirm.
Ayatullah Khamenei praised the great services rendered by the disabled war veterans over the past years and particularly during the 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war.
Later, the war veterans took Iftar dinner with the Leader.
