Poetry acknowledging Ali (AS)’s high status

Couplets of Great poet of the East Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal in praise of Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (AS):
First of The Muslims and Master of the valiant is Ali (AS)
The treasure of faith for the Divine love is Ali (AS)
It is only through his (Ali’s) family’s love that I am living
And shinning in the world like a jewel
From wherever the soul of Qamber (the slave of Hazrat Ali (AS)) had been nourished Iqbal
I am also deriving my nourishment from the same treasure
The name of Ali (AS) is always on my tongue Iqbal
As the thirst of soul is quenched from this jewel.
O (Ali) the gateway to the City of Love
O (Ali) the Noah of Ark of love
O (Ali) the secrets of God and the creation
The chapters of Quran are the details of your (Ali’s) life.
From self-realization he (Ali) became the divine power (hand of Allah), controlling the universe
And through power of Allah (Yadullahi) Ali (AS) is the Emperor
One who becomes the father of the earth (Abu Turab) in the universe
Can order the sun to rise back (return) from the west.
O (Ali) the secret of the prophet hood of Muhammad (SAW)
O (Ali) whose praise is like praising Muhammad (SAW)
All my fears of the world hereafter have vanished
As I have nourished (purchased) the grief of your progeny.
All the bounties, Iqbal, are due to the remembrance of the name of Murtaza (AS)
Hence I have been able to perceive the extreme secrets of the Transcendental

Mourning the martyrdom of Asadullah Hazrat Ali bin Abi Talib (alihimassalam)!
Hazrat Ibn-e- Abbas relates: One day I saw the holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.w) holding Hazrat Ali's (a.s) hand and saying, "This is the first person who believed in me and he will be the first person to shake hands with me on the Judgment Day. He is the Farooq of this umm'ah which means he distinguishes "haq" (truth) from "batil" (falsehood). He is the master of momineen whereas wealth is the master of wrongdoers. He is the Siddeeq-e-Akber and the door of entrance. He will be the khalifa after me!"
