"Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth
disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after
you."
Hazrat Ali (AS) always has termed knowledge precious and supreme as compared to wealth in his sage-like sayings. In the above-mentioned saying he has given three arguments for the supremacy of knowledge over wealth:
i. Knowledge protects a man from all sorts of troubles confronting him just as a light with the help of which we can see the right and wrong path. As against this he has to protect wealth.
ii. a knowledgeable man ,whenever grants others from his knowledge means teach others what he has, it happens to be a source of increase in his knowledge. on the contrary wealth decreases if he keep on spending it .
iii. Whatever a man has acquired and gained through his wealth e.g.: status, respect, friendships etc disappears and vanishes as soon as wealth disappears. While on the other hand a knowledgeable man never be deprived of any thing obtained and achieved by him through his knowledge because the knowledge, on the base of which he has acquired any thing, will always remain in his hand.

"Abstain from an action which you will have to do covertly
and secretly which you feel ashamed to do openly. Refrain from a
deed which you will have to accept as evil or bad, or for which you
will have to tender an apology or excuse". |
