Al-Haaj Al-Hussaini passes away; Moosavi condoles

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan – 02 OCT: Al-Haaj Tazeem Hussain Al-Hussaini, Member Supreme Council Tehreek Nafaz e Fiqh Jafariya Pakistan and elderly religious scholar has expired after prolong-illness.

Al-Haaj Tazeem Al-Hussaini, 90, was buried on Wednesday in Astar Zayi Pyan, district Kohat, in the presence of thousands of people. His funeral prayer was attended by a large number of Ulema, Waezeen besides religious, political and social elites from Bangash region.

Shah advocate and President TNFJ district Kohat Syed Shabab Hussain Al-Hussaini attending the funeral prayer on behalf of Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Pakistan Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi expressed condolence to late Al-Haaj Tazeem Al-Hussaini’s son Nasir Abbas Al-Hussaini and bereaved family, and offered Fateha Khawani.

On the 28th September 2002, the UK will insha'Allah experience a record breaking historical event. Something never seen in this country before, an event that will insha'Allah reverberate across the country and the rest of the world.

MAB has launched the greatest ever rally for Palestine - for human rights and justice - ever witnessed in recent history, a march for the rights of justice for the Palestinian People.

Majlis-e-Fateha for Al Haaj Hassan Kazmi to held on Sept 6

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A majlis-e-aza for esal-e-sawab of late Al-Haaj Agha Syed Hassan Ali Shah Kazmi, Trustee Imamia Mission Pakistan, will be held on September 6 after Maghribayn prayer at Ali Masjid, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi.

The majlis, arranged by Agha Syed Muhammad Murtaza Moosavi and Agha Syed Ali Roohul Abbas Moosavi, will be addressed by Khateeb Fateh Furat besides many other speakers and zakireen.

Unique opportunity to study at London Hawza

HAWZA STUDIES PROGRAM

Introduction:

The aim of this course is to enroll students and guide them onto a path which would make them 'Alim-e-Deen. A program of studies has been developed which would provide the best facilities and environment to train students to become Religious Scholars. In doing so, a program has been designed which would assist students in increasing their knowledge about Islam and at the same time help them to mature as practicing Muslims who want to take the message of the Almighty to the general public. This course will give a full understanding for the student of Hawza subjects and provide the student with appropriate academic qualifications at the end of his studies. This course will produce 'Ulama' who have a special desire and interest in promoting Islam in UK and Europe.

The course is a combination of Hawza studies and the Higher Education courses in Islamic Studies, which are presently being offered at the College. The Higher Education courses in Islamic Studies consist of a vast range of subjects but do not necessary include all the levels appropriate to the course offered in a Hawza. The student would be required to complete both the Hawza and the Higher Education syllabi to fulfill the requirements of this program (further explanation of this is available in the prospectus).

ICAS has succeeded in secure a few scholarships for male students who wish to take part in this intensive course on hawza studies. The course would normally last for 7 years and would finally be awarded with a Ph.D. degree in Islamic Studies.

Conditions and requirements for entry:

1- Candidates should between the ages of 17 to 25 years.

2- Candidates should have at least 2 A Levels or the equivalent.

3- Candidates should be fluent in English.

4- All candidates must register on the College's BA and MA courses and successfully complete them while studying on the hawza program.

5- All candidates would spend the final two years of their studies (Ph.D. thesis) in Qum, attending some additional courses besides their writing up. They thus have to commit themselves to the whole program of studies including the final two years abroad.

6- Two credible references should be produced stating the candidate's propriety for taking the scholarship.

7- Those candidates who consider becoming an 'alim as their future career would be given preference.

8- The course would start on 30 September 2002 and applications will only be considered if they are received before 10 September 2002.

9- The qualified students currently studying at the Islamic College enjoy priority if they apply before the appointed date.

10- The course is a boarded full time program and the scholarship includes both the fee and the boarding expenses.
