Sohur, Iftaar, majales al-Husseini, Quran contests mark Ramadan in Saudi

AL-AWAMIYAH, Saudi Arabia: Since the beginning of the holy month, Ramadan programs and activities – iftaar, sohur, majales al-Husseini, supplications, prayers, and Quran competitions etc - continued in the oil-rich Mo’minin-dominated eastern region of Saudi Arabia.

Sofrah (table of) Omm Al-Banin (AS) is set up on different nights. Joshan Al-Kabir, Doa-i-Komayl and Doa Abo-Hamzah Thomali are recited.

At al-Imam al-Hussein (AS) mosque in Al-Awamiyah, Quranic gathering is daily held before Maghrib prayer.

Festivals and majalis al-aza marking the birth anniversary of Karimo Ahl-el Beit Al-Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mojtaba (AS) and martyrdom anniversary of Amir’ol Mominin Al-Imam Ali Al-Mortadha (AS) respectively will also be held at all husseiniyaat and mosques.
