ZARIA, Nigeria: Wednesday being the normal weekly Tafsir day, Sheikh
Zakzaky continued with Tafsir of the holy Qur’an in Surah Fatir and
Yaseen at Baqiyyatullah Husainiyyah and it was attended by thousands
of people.
After the Tafsir lesson, Sheikh Zakzaky spoke briefly on the heart
rendering event which the enemies of Islam butchered the Imam
Husain(AS), his family members and companions at the plain of Karbala
on 10th Muharram 61AH. Speaking on the event of karbala, as usual, was
started since the first of Muharram by Sheikh Zakzaky as he recounted
its history, genesis and the lessons in it.
After sunset prayers the gathering perform matam. Poets narrated the
karbala tragedy in their poetry as mourners shed tears. At the end
Sheikh Zakzaky recited Ziyara of Imam Husain(AS) and a closing prayer.
During previous lectures by Sheikh Zakzaky, he described the
acceptability of Ashura programme worldwide as one of the sign of
re-emergence of Imam Mahdi(AJ).
