‘Imam Hussein (A) a symbol of justice’ … Arbaeen in Nigeria

On Thursday the 20th of Safar 1431, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria
under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky commemorated the yawm
al arbaeen (40 days) of Imam Husein (A.S) massacre in Karbala.
The event took place in the Islamic Movement Fudiyya Centre in Zaria
city. Thousands of mourners – men and women - attended the event.
Sheikh Zakzaky narrated the suffering encountered by the Ahl al
Bayt (A.S) at the hands of Yazid and his force after the massacre of
Imam, his companions and family. He pointed out that Imam Hussein
(A.S) is now a symbol of justice and freedom to many of the oppressed
people of this world since then. Millions are now remembering the
sacrifice of Imam Hussein (A.S) and his supporters while at the same
time cursing their killers and enemies.
The event concluded with recitation of ziarat of Imam Hussein (A.S),
du’a al Khumayl and prayers.
