RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari, Convener of the Markazi Muharram Committee Azadari Cell of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan has said that the Karachi Ashoora incident, the jalao-gherao (riot) afterwards, and target killings are the part of the same conspiracy and all patriotic forces would have to adopt a consensus line of action to unveil this conspiracy instead of accusing each other.

This was stated by him while addressing the high level meeting of the Muharram Committee Azadari Cell of the TNFJ. He said people come to Karachi from every nook and corner of the country to earn their livelihood, therefore the satanic world, that is already averse Pakistan, has decided under a heinous conspiracy to carry out aggression against Pakistan and as a part of it they tried to trample the economic jugular vein of Pakistan turning Karachi into a battlefield.

He said when the whole city of Karachi was mourning the Shahadat of Imam Hussain (A.S.), the enemy committed naked aggression and then put the city on fire. He said we are thankful to all Azadaran and mourners without any discrimination who had to carry bodies of their sons and brothers and also gave top priority to the Azadari procession and took it to its designated venue with honour and respect making it clear that jalao-gherao after the blast was planned before hand.

Mr. Bokhari said that instead of putting balm on the injuries of the affected, the enemy started target killings which led to accusations against each other. The contradictory statements on the part of rulers, at this stage, added fuel to the fire and the situation worsened further.

He said we respect all patriotic parties whether they are in the government or the opposition but every one should keep in mind that our integrity is subject to the integrity and survival of the motherland. He said our enemy desires that we entangle with each other therefore all patriotic parties and powers should give up their personal and party interests, understand the conspiracy of the enemy and try to unveil the same.

Bokhari demanded from the Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry to take suo moto notice of the Ashoora incident and the situation prevailing in Karachi and set up a high level Enquiry Board.

He said the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi had already stated before quarter a century that linking a terrorist with any Maslik or a country is terrorism itself and we still demand from the powers that be to see and tackle these incidents in the same context and do not give any relaxation to terrorists.

He said the Azadari, Majalis and mourning processions would continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal with the same spirit and enthusiasm, therefore, Azadars should give priority to Azadari over all other matters. He said we would not allow anyone to cause any harm to Azadari even we all are killed.

Bu Ali Mehdi, Additional Secretary Muharram Committee, Allama Zahid Abbas Kazmi, Allama Abul Hassan Taqi, Abbas Jafri, Dr. Nazir Hussain, Alhaj Ghulam Murtaza Chauhan, Ch. Abu Baidar, Maulana Sajjad Gardezi, and Saeed Mughal also addressed.

A resolution adopted on the occasion called upon the government to fulfil the demands of the bereaved families of the Shuhada of Ashoora incident, compensate the traders and given best treatment to the injured.

Another resolution strongly condemned the publication of blasphemous images in Norway and restriction on construction of minarets of mosques in Switzerland and termed it the violation of basic human rights and the United Nations Charter.

Another resolution demanded from the United Nations to take notice of such activities while OIC was asked to break its silence and fulfil its duty to highlight the problems of the Islamic World. The resolution accused some parties of highlighting Gilgit-Baltistan issue an act of diverting attention from real issues.

Another resolution demanded strict security arrangements for the central programmes of Ashra Beemar-e-Karbala, particularly the 25th Muharram programmes on the Shahadat of Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.).

The meeting decided to summon a country-wise meeting of the Muharram Committee Azadari Cell prior to the Chehlum of Syed-us-Shuhada.
