Karbala to get half of religious tourism revenues
By: Ismail Zabeeh
HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Iraq’s Parliament has agreed
to give 50 percent of the revenues coming from religious tourism in
Karbala to the holy province that houses the holy shrines of Al-Imam
Aba Abdellah Al-Hussein and his brother Abo’l Fadhl Al-Abbas (peace be
on them).
The same decision will be applied to every Iraqi province that brings
revenues from religious tourism.
"According to this decision, Karbala would get around $100 million per
year," Mohammed Hameed al-Mousawi, head of Karbala Provincial Council,
told Wednesday.
He said that religious tourism is considered one of the main important
aspects of Iraq's economy.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
