Maula Ali Dargah in India - a little account
By: Zahir Shah
NEW DELHI, India: The Maula Ali Dargah was built in India
in the memory of Hazrat Ali, the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad,
peace be on him and his holy progeny.
Four hundred stairs brings a person to a place of religious interest,
built by the Asif Jahis. Legend has it that Yakoob, a eunuch in the
court of Ibrahim Quli, went to the hill after he saw in his dream
Hazrat Ali (peace be on him) seated on it.

To his surprise, he saw the impression of Ali's palm on a
stone, which he had dreamed. He had the impression cut out and
installed in a shrine. Ibrahim Shah later built a mosque beside the
dargah. An Ashurkhana, a Baradari (pavilion) and a Naqqar khana (place
for beating drums) were built during the Qutb Shahi period.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
