SAMARRA, Iraq: The martyrdom anniversary of Al-Imam Al-Hasan Al-Askary (AS) on Raby Al-Oulaa 8 was observed with reverence across the country.

Marking the occasion, main mourning ceremony was held at the holy shrine of Al-Imamayn Al-Askariyain (AS) in Samarra where tens of thousands of mourners had gathered to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the father of the Last Proof Al-Imam Al-Hojjah (ATF). Special arrangements of meal and drinks were made for three days for the guests of Al-Imam Al-Askary (AS).

Mourning gatherings were also organized at the holy shrines of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS), Al-Abbas (AS), Al-Imam Ali b. Abi Talib (AS), Al-Imam Mousa Al-Kadhim (AS) and Al-Imam Muhammad Taqy Al-Jawad (AS) in Karbala, Najaf and Kadhimiyah respectively where replica coffins of the Imam (AS) were also taken out in the processions.
