Inauguration of new golden domes of Al-Imamayn Al-Jawwadayn (A) shrine

HOLY KADHMIYAH, Iraq: Opening of the new golden domes of
the holy shrine of Al-Imamayn Al-Jawwadayn i.e. Al-Imam Moussa bin
Jafar Al-Kadhim and his grandson Al-Imam Muhammad Taqi Al-Jawwad
(peace be upon them) in the holy city of Kadhimiyah was held on
Tuesday September 14 in a special glorious and spiritual ceremony.
During the ceremony, eulogies were recited on beat of
drums while thousands of Iraqis came holding bouquets and chanting
religious slogans.
The area of the dome of the holy shrine is 335 square meters.
10 thousand and 261 gold bricks were used for the dome and 1416 gold
bricks for the three minarets. 300 workers participated in the project
which was completed in one and a half year.
