HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Demanding reconstruction of
holy shrines of A’immah Al-Baqee in the holy city of Medinah, a
demonstration was held in the holy city of Karbala attended by large
number of people from different governorates.

After prayers and visitation of Husseini shrine, the
demonstration marched towards Ar-ar, a frontier region between Iraq
and Saudi Arabia. The protestors were holding flags and chanting
slogans condemning what the Saudi rulers did with the Baqee cemetery
on Shawal 8, 1342 AH (1925).
Later, a majlis al-azaiyah was organized in the region. After that the
demonstration marched to region Ayn At-Tamur for ziarah of Sayed Ahmed
b. Hashim where a majlis al-Husseini was held. Sheikh Abbas Al-Momin
addressed. After the majlis, lunch was served.


Afterward, the demonstration returned to Karbala to the
tomb of grand scholar and jurist Al-Allamah Ahmed b. Fahd Al-Hilli.
