Fatimi mourning banned in Bahrain, forces fire teargas on processions
By: Mohamed Ali
PARIS, France: Sayedah Fatimah Az-Zahra (AS), the only
beloved daughter of Propet Muhammad (S), was martyred on Jamadi
Al-Oulaa 13 according to some traditions while some other narrations
say it was Jamadi ol-Aakher 3 when she kissed martyrdom. On these
occasions, grand mourning programs are held across the world.
Marking Jamadi Al-Oulaa 13, mourning sittings (majales al-azaiyah) and
processions were scheduled to be held in Bahrain. But clashes broke
out Saturday night between Bahraini security forces and participants
in a procession in commemoration of the martyrdom of Sayyedah Fatimah
Az-Zahra, in different areas in Bahrain after the Interior Ministry
had banned these processions.
Vehicles full of armed security forces had gathered in Manama streets
and closed all the roads leading to the Bahraini capital in case of
any flow of mourners from nearby villages and different areas to
participate in the anniversary.
But mourning processions came out in the streets of the capital in an
unusual move and without loudspeakers that are usually used in
processions. However, the security forces intervened and used tear gas
to disperse the participants, which led to clashes that lasted for
more than an hour.
According to witnesses, the security forces had forced the masales
al-azaiyah in the capital to close and stop the lectures.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
