MANAMA, Bahrain: Saudi-backed Bahraini forces while intensifying
their crackdown on anti-regime protesters have shamelessly demolished
on Monday April 18 two more mosques and husseiniyahs and also torched
holy objects such as the copies of Quran.
According to authentic reports at least eight mosques, husseiniyahs
and shrines namely: Masjid Imam As-Sadiq (a.s.) in Salmabad region,
masjid Rasoul Al-Adham (s) in Karzakan city, masjid al-Barbaghi in
A'ali region, maqam Qadam Al-Mahdi (a.t.f.) in Mahuz village, masjid
and husseiniyah Imam Al-Jawad (a.s) and masjid Um al-Banin (a.s.) in
Hamad town, masjid Imam Hassan Al-Askary in Manama and masjid Fadak
oz-Zahra (a.s.) in Hamad Town, were destroyed completely.
Meanwhile, Al-Wafaq the main Shia party has strongly condemned
aggression against places of worship i.e. mosques, husseiniyahs and
shrines terming it an open contradiction to human and religious values
ad teachings.
On Monday, the forces smashed Imam As-Sadiq (a.s.) Masjid in Salmabad
region and Rasoul Al-Adham (s) in Karzakan city.
On Friday and Sunday April 15 and 17, they destroyed Masjid
al-Barbaghi, Al-Watiyya Masjid which was known as Qadam al-Mahdi
(a.t.f.) in Mahuz village, masjid and husseiniyah Imam Al-Jawad (a.s)
and Um al-Banin (a.s.) Masjid in Hamad town, and Imam Hassan Al-Askary
Masjid in Manama. Fadak oz-Zahra (a.s.) Masjid in Hamad was razed on
14 April.
Meanwhile, Saudi King Abdullah on Tuesday vowed full Manama support
for what he called Bahrain's security and stability.
"The security of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia is indivisible - being two
bodies with one soul," the Saudi monarch said.
