Marking Ashura Saudi authorities seal largest husseiniyah in Al-Ahsa
By: Abdulali
QATIF, Saudi Arabia: Shia rights watch has strongly condemned
closure of the largest Shia mosque in Al-Ahsa, one of the Shia cities
in Saudi Arabia warning the government that continued discrimination
might bring unrest to the country.
SRW said it is the Shia’s rights to practice their peaceful programs
in the month of Moharam and it’s the job of the government to protect
their citizens not to oppress them.
According to Rasid, Saudi security authorities ordered at the
beginning of the month of Moharam the closure of the newly established
Shia mosques Buhaligha, which opened earlier this year.
The authorities have not given a clear explanation for this action but
they return the fear to the Shia citizens in Al- Ahsa, because of the
discrimination toward them and not letting them practice their rights.
Al-Ahsa was under years of security watch which end up arresting
hundreds of Shia citizens and long closure of dozens of Shia mosques,
religious schools and family service centers.
Shia population is more than 10 percent of the Saudi Arabia.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
