TNFJ thwarted sectarian designs of dictator and saved Two-Nation theory, Moosavi
By: Salman Alvi
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid
Ali Shah Moosavi has said that colonial powers desire to divide the
Islamic States on the basis of Masalik and pitch them against each
other and Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya has thwarted their designs and
saved the Two-Nation theory from being trampled. He said the May 21,
1985 agreement is the milestone in protecting and defending the
Two-Nation Theory. He said Grasmin’s refusal to give clear-cut
assurance of not repeating Abbottabad like activity in future is a
clear indication of American designs and the whole nation would have
to become a concrete wall against these designs by giving up mutual
differences. He called upon the rulers to get the Drone attacks
stopped forthwith while keeping the Two-Nation theory alive is
obligatory for all religious and political powers so as to root out
biases. This was stated by him while addressing an organisational
workshop organised by Mukhtar Organisation on the occasion of
Youm-e-Muahidah May 21.
Agha Moosavi said Pakistan was achieved by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali
Jinnah but he expired soon after a year and after his demise Pakistan
came in the hands of martial laws depriving the people of their
rights. However, he said the National Assembly at last passed a
consensus constitution making the Two-Nation theory its central point.
Unfortunately, the third dictator took over the reins of power tearing
the Nazria-e-Asaasi apart and announced to turn Pakistan into a State
of a particular school of thought. As a result of which, he added,
Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya came into being and took over the
Pakistan Secretariat making it clear on the tyrant ruler that all
biases are created when the rights of the people are denied.
The TNFJ chief said the Zia amended the Article 30/3 of the Police Act
to promote sectarianism and limit Azadari against which Tehreek Nafaz
Fiqh-e-Jafariya launched an agitation that continued for eight months
during which 14,000 people courted arrest and two were martyred. As
many as 135 Sunni brethren and 8 Christians also courted arrest during
this agitation that culminated on a historic Junejo-Moosavi agreement
on May 21, 1985 bringing a 16-man Shia Demands Committee to fore to
meet the Shia demands that included: enforcement of Fiqh-e-Jafariya
for Maktab-e-Tashih; separate Shia deenyat curriculum; Shia faculty in
Islami universities; effective Shia representation in government
organisations, judiciary, Federal Shariat Court, media on the basis of
equality; lifting of restrictions on Azadari, separate Shia Auqaf
Board, restoration of holy shrines in Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul
Moallah and reversal of the amendment in the Police Act.
However, he said, the agents of the tyrant rulers continued their
conspiracies and tried to get private Shariat Bill passed which was
rejected by the TNFJ saying that there is no need of any Shariat Bill
in the presence of 1973 Constitution and the explanation of Quran and
Sunnah should be respected as is followed by any relevant Maktab. This
third martial law gifted heroin and Kalashnikov culture and terrorism
that still exist, mosques and Imambargahs were made Maqtalgahs and the
champions of democracy elements who were sitting in the lap of the
tyrant rulers even got some holy and recognised books including Nehjul
Balaghah banned. The TNFJ invited the attention of Chief Justice
Sajjad Ali Shah who took a suo moto action to root out terrorism. TNFJ
presented an 800-page Moosavi Peace Formula in the Supreme Court that
is still there in the court records in the light of which
Anti-Terrorism Act came into being.
Agha Moosavi said the fourth martial law gifted the nation with
suicide attacks and Drone attacks. The Tehreek saved the Maktab Ahle
Sunnat and Ahle Tashih by saying that ongoing terrorism is not Maktabi
rather is the war of a few groups who are being fed on foreign aid. He
said the situation today is that Pakistan who is playing the role of
front-line State against war of terror has been humiliated by carrying
out Abbottabad operation and all that was happening under the cover of
civilian government. He lamented that no action was taken on the
consensus resolution of the Parliament against Drone attacks in 2008
and another was passed after the Abbottabad operation. Soon after
American Senator John Kerry came to Pakistan in threatening mood
followed by Drone attacks in his presence here while Nato helicopters
also attacked Pakistani posts injuring two soldiers. He said
implementation of the resolution passed by the Parliament is the need
of the hour.
The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi demanded
from the government to ensure the implementation of May 21, 1985
agreement and give phase-wise leadership of Islamic Council of
Ideology and other government religious organisations to all schools
of thought snapping the monopoly of some particular groups. He made it
clear that motherland Pakistan is very dear to them being the only
Islamic ideological State. Therefore, they would not hesitate in
offering any sacrifice in protecting the ideology of the motherland
and will thwart every conspiracy aimed at dividing the Makatib through
their unity.
