Worldwide Ghadir celebrations begin

ROME, Italy: Marking the happy occasion of Feast of
Ghadir or Idd al-Ghadir, celebratory programs i.e. galas, festivals
and feasts have started from the eve of Dhol-hijjah 18 across the
world with great reverence and enthusiasm.
Speakers during their addresses to the festive gatherings highlight
importance and historic perspective of Ghadir Feast.
Ghadir is that auspicious day when holy Prophet Muhammad (S) appointed
Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) his immediate successor with the order of Allah
conveyed by the Angel Gabriel on Dhol-Hijjah 18 saying Whomsoever's
master (mawla) I am, Ali is also his master. O' God, love those who
love him, and be hostile to those who are hostile to him.
