Saudis to mourn Al-Imam Ja’fer As-Sadeq (AS)

AL-QATEEF, Saudi Arabia: Martyrdom Anniversary of the Founder of
Jafari School and the sixth infallible descendant of Prophet Mohamed
(peace be on him and his holy progeny), Al-Imam Ja’fer As-Sadeq (peace
be on him) is being observed in the oil-rich Mominin-dominated eastern
region of Saudi Arabia on Shawal 25.
Marking the occasion, majalis al-azaiyah will be held at husseiniyaat
and mosques.
Husseiniyah Ommi Moin in Al-Qateef will organize majlis al-azaiyah on
September 23 Shawal 25 Friday night (night between Friday and
Saturday). Renowned husseini speaker Abdel Hayi Aal-i-Qamber will
address.
According to some traditions it was Shawal 15 when the holy Imam
(peace be on him) was martyred while some others say Imam kissed
martyrdom on Shawal 25; however both dates are commemorated in the
world.
