Iranians mourn Imam Hossein's 3-year old youngest daughter

HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: To commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of
Sayedeh Sakinah bintul Hosein (AS) also known as Roqayyah bintul
Hosein, the youngest daughter of Imam Hosein (AS), hundreds of Iranian
mothers along with their little daughters gathered in the Iranian
capital, Tehran.
According to traditions it was 4th day of Safar, the second month of
Islamic calendar, when the 3-year old Sakinah was martyred after
seeing her slaughtered father Imam Hosein (AS) in her dream; some
other traditions say it was 6th day of Safar while some other tell she
kissed martyrdom on Safar 13.
After the martyrdom of Imam Hosein and his 72 faithful followers in
680 AD in Karbala the cruel forces of Yazid took the chaste ladies of
prophet Muhammad (s) family along with children into captivity binding
them in chains and moved them to Sham or modern day, Damascus.
Sakinah bintul Hosein (AS) kissed martyrdom in very deep dark zindaan
(prison). Her grave was also made therein.
