RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has announced a 14-point Code of Azadari. Addressing a Press conference here at the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashayyo, he said we are not going to get upset on terrorism or are afraid of death, we will continue Azadari of Syed-us-Shuhada Imam Hussain (A.S.) come what may that is the most effective protest of the oppressed against oppressors. No restriction on Azadari will be accepted, independent citizens can go anywhere they like. Restriction on Zakireen and Ulema is not a solution to the problem and if the government is sincere that they should impose restrictions on the terrorists and banned parties who were roaming about freely. Restriction on late Zakireen is a fun and smacks of non-serious attitude of the rulers.

Agha Moosavi said that if loudspeaker can be used in Assemblies and political meetings that why not in Azadari. Making the terrorists sit with them and begging peace and including such elements in peace committees is a joke with the people. Why the rulers who are creating harassment by telling people about the danger are not taking steps to overcome these dangers? Why those who identify foreign hand not cut those hands who are playing the bloody holy in economic jugular vein Karachi and Quetta. The rulers are aware of the shelters of terrorists but were not taking action owing to some reservations.

The TNFJ chief said the sensitive areas like Karachi, Quetta, Parachinar, Gilgit-Baltistan should be handed over to the army. He said the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya has set up Muharram Committee Azadari Cells in cities and towns for solution of problems of Azadars and the Federal Interior Ministry should also set up Muharram Control Rooms in the four provinces and direct them to remain in contact with the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya. Timely formation of Muharram Control Cell by the Azad Kashmir government is a good step, he added.

Answering a question, Agha Moosavi said politics is not a prohibited tree but current politics is nothing but hypocrisy, fraud, drama, and lie. One who has to do politics should give up the outfit of Maslak and Maktab first as taking part in election in the name of sect is tantamount to breaking Pakistan. This country is dearer than our life therefore we will not do this. Went to jail along with children to save the ideological Asaas of the country and will not hesitate to offer any sacrifice for it in future also. The Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya saved Pakistan from becoming a sectarian State through taking over Pakistan Secretariat and launching an 8-month long agitation. Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and we will not allow it to become a State of Sunni, Shia, Deobandi or Ahle Hadees. After the Islamic Revolution, we had proposed Iran to make Islam a public law instead of Masalik.

Answering another question, Agha Moosavi said like Banu Ummayad and Banu Abbas, Gen. Ziaul Haq also caused irreparable loss to the country in the garb of Islam. Answering another query, he said the parliament enjoys supremacy and authority over other institutions according to Quran and Sunnah. Those who are creating differences amongst the institutions were not friends but enemies of the country and the nation. The motherland could be strengthened by strengthening the pillars of parliament, judiciary, administration and journalism. Unfortunately, he added, the parliament carries out amendments in the Constitution for their benefits but the Islamic Constitution is unamendable and Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) rendered unforgettable and exemplary sacrifice in Karbala to save the same.

The 14-point Code of Azadari is: (1) Advance protective measures may be taken at all sensitive places during Majalis-e-Aza and Azadari processions and no hurdles may be created in them rather the processions may be concluded at their destinations with honour and respect. Federal and provincial governments may enforce such laws that may not encroach upon the rights of anyone; (2) District administrations throughout the country may be directed to avoid creating fear and harassment amongst the Azadars, and organisers of Majalis and mourning processions rather the administration may cooperate with Azadars so as to complete the Azadari rites with honour and respect; (3) No one will be allowed to take law into his own hands; (4) Religious tolerance may be promoted, preaching of all types of biases may be disallowed;(5) Stable actions may be taken to root out terrorism and miscreant activities (6) The organisers of Majalis and processions may take protective measures under self-help basis. Help and cooperation from Mukhtar Force volunteers and Ibrahim Scouts can also be sought; (7) The people should remain fully alert, keep an eye on the situation around and immediately inform the administration if they notice any suspicious person or thing so as to thwart the nefarious designs of the miscreants; (8) All Makatib may highlight the good deeds of the Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) and his diehard companions by preaching their beliefs in a positive manner; (9) Ulema, waizeen and zakireen may give priority to unity, mutual understanding and integrity of the nation and the country; (10)The controversial personalities should not be included in the electronic media programmes. Sacrifices of Shahadat-e-Uzma and Shuhada-e-Karbala may be highlighted in full. Preaching of Munkiraat may be avoided and all types of music, dramas, and comedy programmes may remain suspended during the Ashra-e-Muharram. Irresponsible programmes may not be presented feeling the national and religious responsibilities. The print media may give full coverage to Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions during Ashra-e-Muharram and print special editions. The exemplary and everlasting sacrifices of Martyrs of Karbala may be highlighted in an effective manner so as to inculcate the spirit of sacrifice in people; (11) All leaders and politicians may discontinue all types of political activities during the Ashra-e-Muharram and it is binding for Azadaran to keep Azadari foremost over all other things; (12) Women may follow the seerat and character of Mukhadderat-e-Ismat and Taharat, Ahle Bait Athaar (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar; (13) Discipline and timings may be ensured during Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions and any step that may be against the spirit of Azadari may be avoided; and (14) All Makatib and Masalak should be respected and respect of all of them may be ensured. The organisers of Majalis may follow the Code of Azadari themselves and also make it binding on others.

On the occasion, Agha Moosavi prayed for the protection of country’s integrity, an end to terrorism, supremacy of the Islamic World and for an end to conspiracies against Pakistan.
