ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Day of Ashura, in memory of the grandson of the Holy Prophet, Hazrat Imam Hussain (PBUH) and his 72 diehard companions was observed with traditional religious spirit, devotion and respect throughout the Pakistan including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Sunday. Despite terrorist attacks in Dera Ismail Khan, Rawalpindi, Karachi & quetta, millions of mourners participated in Ashura processions showing their allegiance with martyrs of Karbala.

In Twin cities Rawalpindi/Islamabad, main procession of Ashura was taken out from Imam Bargah Ashiq Hussain Teli Mohallah, Imam Bargah Col. Maqbool Hussain and Imam Bargah Hifazat Ali Shah Bohar Bazar. On this occasion the mourners of Imam Hussain (PBUH) performed Zanjeer-Zani to express their devotion with Imam Hussain (PBUH). Zuljinah, Alam Mubarik, Taazia, Mehndi Shahzada Qasim (PBUH), Gehwara Masoom Ali Asghar (PBUH), Taboot Imam Aali Muqaam (PBUH) and other taburrakaat (religious artifact) were included in the procession of Ashura.

The Quaid e Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi participated in the procession of Ashura and offered Ziarat of the taburrakaat and performed Matamdari. While talking to the media on this occasion, Agha Moosavi said that Muharram ul Harram is a sacred month; Imam Hussain (PBUH) while sacrificing his life and the lives of his children and dear companions declared that my message of peace is to eliminate oppression and barbarity and for the establishment of peace and harmony, just as, the main objectives of my grandfather Mohammad e Mustafa (PBUH & HHP) was also the same one. He said that during Muharram ul Harram shedding blood, causing mayhem and arson is forbidden therefore Imam Hussain (PBUH) announced that my stand is for the correction of the nation, propagation of good deeds, stopping people from wrong doings and leading them on the path of my grandfather and my father.

Agha Moosavi while replying to a question said that the continued terrorism in the country, target killings, suicide attacks and bomb blast are indeed carried out by those who are not the followers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) his holy progeny (PBUHT) and his pious companions (RA) rather they are the enemies of the religion, Sharia and the beloved homeland Pakistan. He said that this grave situation is not new but it started in eighties when a dictator took over the reign of the country, which slowly and gradually turned into target killings and suicide attacks. He said that prior to Muharram ul Harram we contacted those who are in power, in result of which the federal government setup control rooms in federal and provincial levels, which were advised to be in touch with the TNFJ.

While replying to a question related to the security measurements Syed Hamid Moosavi said that this is the first time in the history of the motherland that the mobile service was suspended on this level which is the essential source of communication and was a great cause of distress; this type of measurements can be passing time and temporary solution of the problem but the long time solution is that the terrorists groups which were banned by the governments must be handled with iron hand who are operating with new identities and their members which are involved in terrorism are freed from the courts. He said that if these banned groups are innocent then the restrictions imposed on them should be lifted from them and they can also contact courts for this purpose if they think they are innocent. He said that if SP and DGI of any region are made responsible for the crime committed in their areas due to their negligence then same criteria should be implemented on organizations as well and actions should be taken against those organizations whose members’ involvement is proven in terrorism.

While replying to another question Agha Moosavi said that the government and the opposition must not associate with terrorists and that the media should not provide them coverage. He said that these terrorists groups with their old and new identities are the part of three political alliances, which are set for the election purposes; in reality these terrorists are the need of the government and the opposition.

While replying to the question in regards to the involvement of the external hand in the terrorism, he said that this kind of statement issued by the rulers are not sufficient, but chopping those hands which are involved in terrorism, exposing those countries which are sponsoring terrorism and protesting to the ambassadors of those countries while calling them in to the home office is the responsibility of the government because these countries are fighting their war on our land. He emphasized that in the era of Zia, I said that terrorists have no religion faith or country and they should only be considered terrorist therefore considering the war of the agents of external powers, a war between different schools of thought itself is act of terrorism. He said that the colonial powers take their wanted people out of our country or sometimes our rulers hand them over but our government does not dare to ask them for the same treatment in return. He said that unless priority is given to the dignity and the honor of the pious personality of Islam over everything else, the dream of eradicating terrorism cannot become reality.

The Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi made it clear that Sunni and Shia are two strong hands of Islam which are always united and for the same reason in the incident of Dhoke Syedaan one person from Ahle Sunnat and in the incident of Dera Ismail Khan four persons belonging to Ahle sunnat got martyred.

While replying to a question related to identifying the external hand behind terrorism he said that Yazid ordered to his representative Walid in Madina that Abdullah Ibne Ummar, Abdulah Ibne Zubair and Hussain Ibne Ali (PBUH) must be captured immediately and they should be demanded to pay their allegiance to me and if they refuse, kill them. While replying to the question of allegiance, Imam Hussain (PBUH) said that we are the family of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP), angels used to visit our home, Islam started from us and it will also be completed upon us, while Yazid is liar, consumes alcohol, he is a murderer of innocent people, refuses the concept of revelation from Almighty Allah and considers permissible which is forbidden by Mohammad (PBUH & HHP) and what ever is permitted by Mohammad (PBUH & HHP) he forbids it therefore anyone like me will never pay allegiance to anyone like him. Agha Moosavi said that from very beginning of Islam, two imposing powers in the form of Habeel (PBUH) and Qabeel, Mousa (PBUH) and Pharaoh and Hussain (PBUH) and Yazid are always existed and the followers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP), his Holy Progeny (PBUT) and his pious companions (RA) never bow down in front of Qabeeli, Farooni and Yazidi forces. Banu Ummayad while using the name of Islam fulfilled their objectives while Banu Abbas caused harm to Islam while using the name of Ahle Bait (PBUT) therefore it is very important for all the religion and the mother loving classes and especially the media that they should first themselves recognize that who are the followers of Imam Hussain (PBUH) and who are those who are following the character of Yazid and then realities should be propagated to the rest.

Aqae Moosavi reiterated his resolve that the bomb blats and act of terrorism in any form cannot deviate us from the path of Hussainiat. Those Martyrs who lost their lives in the incidents of terrorism during days of mourning (Ayyame Azadari) their condolences will be arranged after 8th of Rabi ul Awwal once the day of mourning are concluded.

A large number of mourners engaged themselves in heavy Zanjeer-Zani and Matam-e-Qamah(with swords) at Bohar Bazar Chowk, Trunk Bazar, and Habib Bank Chowk. The procession turned into a big rally after reaching Fawwara Chowk where addressing the participants, the secretary information of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan, Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi said the invaluable sacrifice of Imam Aali Muqaam (PBUH) was for the survival of the religion of Islam and humanity. He said that the blood of all the mourners who laid their lives during the incidents of terrorism, including twelve-year-old member of Ibrahim scout Raheel Abbas would not go vain.

The regional secretary of the TNFJ, Abu Nasum Bukhari presented resolutions to the participants of the Ashura procession in which it was emphasized on the Muslim countries that if they really want to defend the honor and dignity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) then they themselves while taking care of the honor and dignity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) restore the Holy places in Jannat al Baqee and Jannat al Molallah.

In the resolution while condemning the act of terrorism which took place in Quetta and Karachi in the begging of Muharram ul Harram, on 6th Muharram ul Harram in Dhoke Syedaan Rawalpindi and on 9th and 10th Muharram ul Harram in D I Khan, salute all the mourners of Imam Hussain (PBUH) who laid their lives for the propagation of mission of Hussainiat especially Raheel Abbas of Ibrahim Scout and considered their martyrdom a great honor for them and for the whole of the nation. A great concern was expressed over this fact that the federal and provincial government did not announce any compensation for the losses of innocent lives during these incidents; although the Prime minister announced that the government will pay for the treatment of the injured but it is being taken care of by their families.

In the resolution while appreciating the setting up of control rooms in the federal and the provincial level, ignoring of the problems of the mourners by the Punjab government was highly condemned; the administration was also thanked for their co-operation for the matter of Azadari.

In the resolution the government was demanded that it should compensate all the victims of terrorism in Quetta, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Dera Ismail Khan and that it should bring to justice all those terrorists who are involved in committing these atrocities. The government was also demanded to secure all routes leading to the sensitive areas of Parachanar, Gilgit and Baltistan.

In the resolution the cold attitude of some media channels and the newspapers towards peace loving classes including the Tehreek Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya was condemned and those who cooperated with them were appreciated.

In the resolution while appreciating the federal and provincial governments for setting up control rooms reminded that our co-operation does not end on 8th Rabiul Awwal but it will continued all year around.

In the resolution the interior minister Rehman Malik was appreciated for visiting Masajid and Imam Bargahs and for taking security measures as much as it was possible.

In the resolution the continued interference in Afghanistan, Egypt, Yemen and Syria, continued oppression in Kashmir Palestine and Gaza and trampling over human rights in Bahrain were condemned.

Later, after performing Zanjeer-Zani at Fawwara Chowk, the participants of the main Ashura procession reached Raja Bazar and Purana Qila where Zuljinah processions taken out from Imam Bargah Kashmirian, Imam Bargah Shaheedane Karbala, Tyre Bazar and Darbar Shah Chan Chiragh also merged into the main procession. The main Chehlum procession terminated at Imam Bargah Qadeem after passing through Jamia Masjid Road and Imam Bara Chowk. Mukhtar Students Organization District Rawalpindi had set up Azadari Camp at Fawwara Chowk while Ibrahim Scouts had set up Medical Camps at Habib Bank Chowk, Raja Bazar and Jamia Masjid Road to facilitate the mourners. Office-bearers of divisional and district Muharram committees of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya and the volunteers of MFP and Ibrahim Scouts remained along with the procession throughout.
