Hyderabadians protest in memory of Jannat-Ul-Baqi demolition in Saudi

HYDERABAD, India: On Shawal 8, August 16, on Friday the Shiites took out a procession in the Old City against the desecration of the Jannat-Ul-Baqi, a sacred graveyard, in the holy city of Madina in Saudi Arabia around 89 years ago at the hands of the then Saudi rulers.

The mourning protestors demanded reconstruction of Al-Baqi where the holy shrines of holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (s) daughter Hazrat Fatima Zahra (s) and imams fom his progeny Hazrat Imam Hasan, Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen, Imam Baqir, Imam Jafar e Sadiq (peace of Allah be on them all) and his companions and wives (r) were demolished.

The procession began at Bibi Ka Alawa in Dabeerpura and reached Shabihe-Jannatul Baqi in Kali Khabar via Etebar Chowk, Miralam Mandi, Purani Haveli, Darulshifa and Aza Khana Zahra.
