Pakistan: Hundreds of thousands march for Al-Baqi on TNFJ call

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Like other countries, Worldwide Jannatul Baqee Destruction Day was observed on Friday, 8th of Shawal throughout the Pakistan to mark the protest against destruction of holy shrines in Jannatul Baqi and Jannatul Moalla on the call of Patron-in-Chief Supreme Shia Ulema Board Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi with a commitment that peaceful protest of Muslims the world over will continue till the dignity of holy shrines of forefathers and offspring of the Rasool (SAAW), Ummahatul Momineen (R.A.) and Sahaba (R.A.) in the historic graveyards of Makkah Mukarramah and Madina Munawwarah is restored. Protest meetings were held and rallies taken out in all big cities and towns of the country on this occasion.

In the federal capital Islamabad, the Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee procession was taken out from Darbar Sakhi Mahmood Badshah(r.a). The rally was led by TNFJ Secretary General Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Additional Secretary General Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari, Central Secretary Information Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Agha Syed Muhammad Murtaza Moosavi Advocate, Secretary Universal Youm-e-Jannatul Baqee Committee Malik-e-Ashtar, Syed Bu Ali Mehdi, Allama Akhlaq Hussain Kazmi, Allama Fakhar Abbas Abidi, Allama Guftaar Hussain Sadiqi, Allama Ali Raza Zaidi, Allama Shiraz Kazmi, Maulana Malik Taimurul Hassan Qummi, Syed Sajjad Haider Kazmi, Prof. Ghulam Abbas Haideri, Syed Barkat Hussain Kazmi, Bawa Syed Dilbar Hussain Shah, Syed Irshad Ali Naqvi and other elite. The Mukhtar Generation, Mukhtar SO, MO workers participating in the rally were carrying portraits of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi and banners and placards inscribed with different slogans. Mukhtar Force volunteers and Ibrahim Scouts were performing security duties. The participants of the rally reached Aabpara recite Nohas and performing Matamdari where the rally turned out into a big public meeting.

TNFJ District Islamabad President Allama Basharat Imami in his address on the occasion said restoration of the dignity of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moalla is not that of a Maktab or the Muslim Ummah but the issue of the whole humanity. Jamiat Ulema-e-Jafariya Pakistan chief Hojjatul Islam Allama Mohsin Ali Hamdani, Allama Syed Hussain Muqaddasi also addressed the rally in which participants of the rally adopted a resolution against the destruction of holy shrines and the criminal silence of the Muslim Ummah among vociferous slogans. The resolution called upon the international organisations including the United Nations, Security Council and OIC to get the dignity of the holy shrines restored while the Muslim rulers should ensure exit of the colonial powers from their respective lands so as to ensure the success of the Islamic World and the Muslim Ummah, and take their own decisions that would lead them to spend an honourable life. Later the procession terminated at the place of its origin where dua was offered. A heavy contingent of police led by Islamabad Administration officials was accompanied the procession.

In Rawalpindi, the central procession was taken out from Imambargah Nasir Al-Aza in which thousands of people participated. The procession headed by Ulema belonging to different schools of thought reached Committee Chowk en route Murree Road where the TNFJ Central Secretary Information Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi read out the special message of the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi issued for this occasion. A similar resolution was also adopted by the participants of the rally amongst vociferous slogans. The procession terminated at Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain after passing through its traditional route.

Meanwhile, according to reports reaching the headquarters of the Global Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee Committee, protest rallies were also taken out and Majalis-e-Aza were held in Muzaffarabad, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Gilgit-Baltistan, Bagh, Gujrat, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Multan, Fateh Jang, Khairpur Mirs, Shahdadpur, Mirpur Khas, Kakul, Nowshera, Lalamusa, Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan.
