HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: In the wake of ongoing tragic events in Egypt, Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad Ali Alavi Hosseini (Gorgani) in Qom has advised Egyptian people belonging to all sects and religions to resolve present conflicts by adhering to Almighty Allah’s words in the Holy Quran.

In a statement, issued from his office, the Ayatollah addressed Egyptians in these words: ‘Vigilant Muslim People of Egypt, the Great Country with Ancient Civilization!’

While quoting “And if two parties of the believers quarrel, make peace between them…” (Holy Quran: Surah Al-Hujuraat)’, he said: ’as you all know, critical events are going on in your beloved country that is a part of the whole body of dear Islam. Sworn enemies of Islam and Muslims are fanning the fire of conflicts to make divisions among you valiant people of Egypt, and thereby rule over your country through their interference and achieve their Zionistic and arrogant intentions. I would like to advise all dear Egyptian people from all sects and religions to resolve present conflicts by adhering to Almighty Allah’s words in the Holy Quran.’

‘I further urge dignitaries of all parties and groups to gather round and solve the existing problems through exchange of views in order to prevent bloodshed and massacres among Muslim brothers.’

‘I pray to Allah to grant success to all those who make efforts to settle disputes in your country,’ he concluded.
