RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The central Matmi protest demonstration on Jannatul-Baqee demolition day was taken out from Imambargah Nasir Al-Aza, Chowk Waris Khan. They lodged strong protest on the dilapidated condition of Jannatul Baqee and mosques in Gaza, destruction of holy shrines of religion’s elders including the forefathers of the Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW), massacre of innocent Palestinians at the hands of Israeli monsters while Matmi Halqas presented pursa to the Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) on the destruction of holy shrines of his beloved daughter Hazrat Fatima Zehra (S.A.), Ummahatul Momineen (R.A.), and Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.).

The protest rally among others was led by Ulema Karam belonging to different schools of thought, office-bearers of TNFJ and other subordinate bodies, provincial, regional and district elite, leaders and Matmi Salars of religious organizations. The participants of the procession marched towards Committee Chowk through marching the Murree Road, which is under construction due to Metro Bus Project, performing Matamdari and Noha-Khwani where it took the shape of a grand rally. The rally was led by Ulem belonging to different schools of thought, office-bearers of central and subordinate sections of the TNFJ, provincial, regional and district elite and leaders and Matmi Salars of the religious organisations. The minor workers of Mukhtar Generation and jawans of Ibrahim Scouts were carrying Shabih of Jannatul Baqee, and banners and placards inscribed with different slogans.

Addressing the rally, TNFJ Central Spokesman Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi presented the special message of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi in which he said the honour and dignity of Anbia and Aulia Allah is tantamount to dignity and respect of religion and Shariat. He lamented that the shrines of Khatoon-e-Jannat Hazrat Syeda Fatima Zehra (S.A.) Ummahatul Momineen and Sahaba Kubaar in Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moallah have been razed to ground on which every conscience Muslims is grieved. He made it clear that holy places are being destructed to fulfill the requirement of Greater Israel and Muslims are being humiliated for this purpose. He said the norms of honour and conscience demand that Muslim States sever their diplomatic relations with Israel, open their frontiers for Palestinians, ensure provision of medicines and food for them, and stop their blockade. He said solution of Israeli’s destruction is that was done by Hitler.

Agha Moosavi said that Saudi rulers who cry hoarse of polytheism are considering America as their god, they should give up bowing down before the Bait Al-Abyaz and instead bow down before the Hijr-e-Aswad. He said alas! Our rulers would have sent the Pakistan’s Armed Forces to Palestine instead of sending them to Saudi Arabia as Palestinians are raising slogans “Oh, Pak Army come to our help”. He said the agents of international terrorists and Zionist agents Daish and Al-Nusrat have been unveiled and today everyone is accepting our point of view that there is no Maktabi or Maslaki conflict in any part of the world. He said the Israeli aggression against Palestinians is a conspiracy to divert world attention from the desecration of holy shrines in Iraq and Syria.

The participants of the rally also adopted a few resolutions. One of the resolutions expressed solidarity with the whole oppressed world particularly the innocent people of Kashsmir, Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, particularly with the oppressed people of Gaza. The resolution said that the protest against the destruction of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moallah would continue till the restoration of the dignity of holy mazars.

Later, the rally terminated at Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain after passing through its traditional route where special prayers marked the conclusion of the rally. Mukhtar Force volunteers escorted the rally throughout while District Administration had made fool-proof arrangements en route the rally. Police officers and jawans remained with the rally throughout.

In Chakwal huge mourning procession was taken out from Imam bargah Pir Bukhari and culminated at Tehsil chowk.

In Attock main protest was held on Kohat Road Fateh Jhang.

In Jhelum rally was held at GT Road.
