Massive demo in Samawah; Several martyred in Mosul

SAMAWAH, Iraq: Around 3,000 Iraqi people rallied on Wednesday in the southern Iraqi town of Samawah to protest against US and express support for Hawzah Ilmiyah Najaf-e-Ashraf (Islamic Seminary in the holy city of Najaf).
In the northern town of Mosul, American forces have martyred on Wednesday over 15 Iraqis in a shooting appeared to have taken place at an open-air market about 300 to 400 yards from the governor-general's office a day after when at least 12 Iraqis were martyred and more than 100 injured by US troops in the same town.

Brigadier Gen Vincent Brooks at US Central Command's war base said: “Fire was indeed delivered from coalition forces, it was lethal fire and some Iraqis were killed as a result.”
