Youm-e-Aza programs demand US withdrawal from Iraq

RAWALPINDI, April 20: The martyrdom day of Imam Zamin Hazrat Ali bin Moosa Ar-Reza (A.S.) was observed as “Youm-e-Aza” throughout the country including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. Majalis-e-Aza were held and Taboot processions taken out in all big cities and towns on this occasion. Agha Hamid Moosavi, addressing Majlis-e-Reza on this occasion termed the seerat and character of Hazrat Ali bin Moosa Ar-Reza (A.S.) beacon of light for the whole humanity.

He said at present the steps taken by chief of the colonial powers America are posing an open challenge to the oppressed world, therefore, Muslim and the oppressed nations will have to launch a practical struggle from a joint platform for their survival and for end to their woes.

In Federal Capital Islamabad, central Youm-e-Aza procession was taken out from Tarlai Kalan in which Matamdaran-e-Imam Zamin (A.S.) participated in a large number and took part in Matamdari and Noha-Khwani. Various renowned Ulema and Zakireen including Allama Basharat Hussain Imami President TNFJ District Council Islamabad addressed the Majlis-e-Aza held on this occasion.

The participants of the Majlis in a resolution adopted on the occasion strongly condemned the American aggression on Iraq and demanded immediate withdrawal of allied forces from the Iraqi soil. The resolution said that no country has the right to interfere in any other country, therefore, Iraqi people should be given their right to form their own government, and power should be transferred to elected representatives after holding justifiable elections under the supervision of the United Nations. The lifting of economic sanctions on Iraq should be linked with pullout of American forces, it said.

Zakira Noor Jamila addressed Majlis-e-Shahadat Imam Raza organized by Anjuman Dukhtran-e-Islam Kaneezan Aseeran-e-Karbala at Jamiatul Murtaza G-9/4 Islamabad. Matamdari was performed after the Majlis.

In Rawalpindi Cantt., the Markazi Youm-e-Aza Majlis in connection with the Shahadat of Imam Zamin (A.S.) was held at the residence of Ch. Saqlain Haideri. Addressing the Majlis, Allama S. Hamdani said that Hazrat Imam Reza (A.S.) proved through his seerat and character that Islam is the best religion that is commensurate not with oppression and brutality but with love, devotion, patience and forbearance. He said the Imam Zamin (A.S.) proved through his deeds that the mission of Khanwada-e-Muhammad and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) is not to grab power and wealth but “Wila” and “Aza”, and we will not hesitate in offering any sacrifice to achieve these pious targets. Zakir Syed Matloob Hussain Kazmi and others also addressed the Majlis.

A resolution adopted on the occasion while demanding to declare America an aggressor called upon the ICC to punish America for war crimes and receive war damages from her for Iraq. The resolution strongly condemned American threats hurled on Syria and other countries, praised the efforts to form MATO stressing the need to make it viable. The resolution strongly demanded from the United Nations for destruction of weapons of mass destruction and imposition of economic sanctions on Israel.

Another resolution while terming Vajpayee’s offer for dialogue a stunt, also termed the statement of American foreign office Director for Policy Planning expressing disappointment on Pakistan for not getting stopped infiltration in Held Kashmir, American Hippocratic attitude. It called on the Government of Pakistan not to be optimistic and call upon India to pull out her forces from Held Kashmir and release thousands of Kashmiris first, if she is sincere for a dialogue.

Another resolution demanded from the government to make viable arrangements for ensuring law and order in the country on the occasion of Ayyam Arbaeen-e-Hussaini from 18-20 Safarul Muzaffar, and for the protection of Majlis gatherings and Azadari processions. The resolution also called upon the people to remain vigilant while appealed the politicians to avoid political bickering during the Ayyam Arbaeen-e-Hussaini and give priority to the interests of the religion and the motherland over all other matters.

Condemning fresh Indian and Israeli brutalities against oppressed Kashmiris and unarmed Palestinians, another Youm-e-Aza resolution expressed solidarity with all oppressed nations, particularly with the Iraqi people. Another resolution while strongly condemning desecration of holy places and Quran Library in Iraq and looting of historic museum, accused allied forces for these incidents. Matmi Dasta Ghulaman-e-Abu Talib performed Matamdari and Noha-Khwan at the end of the Majlis.

In Chakwal, historic procession of Shahadat Imam Reza and Chehlum Shuhada-e-Karbala was taken out in which mourners participated in a large number.

Youm-e-Aza Majlis was held at the residence of Syed Qurban Hussain Kazmi in Chuhr Harpal. Alam Mubarik was taken out and Matamdari was held after the Majlis. In Satellite Town Rawalpindi, Allama Shaikh Ijaz addressed Majlis-e-Shahadat Imam Raza (A.S.) organized by Tehzeebul Hasnain. Nasir Abbas Notak and Zakir Mushtaq Hussain of Jhang addressed Majlis-e-Aza held at Imambargah Babul Hawaij Sakhi Shah Chan Chiragh Rawalpindi. Majlis and Matamdari were organized at Jamiatul Momineen on the occasion of Youm-e-Aza. Two-day majalis marking the martyrdom of Imam Reza (A.S.) held at Bait-ul-Ahzan were addressed by Syeda Bint-e-Ali and Bint-e-Moosa besides others.

In Peshawar, Allama Emami addressed the Youm-e-Aza Majlis organized by Dr. Javed Iqbal Haideri at Imambargah Agha Haider Shah.
