Arba`een program at Bahrain’s Hussainiya Ahmed bin Khamis By: Ali-Al-Qadumi HAMD, Bahrain: Massive Majalis-e-Aza (mourning gatherings) and Masiraat Azaiyah (mourning processions) marked the occasion of Arba`een in Bahrain on Tuesday with speakers throwing light on the significance of Arba`een, or fortieth of Imam Hussain (AS)’s martyrdom, in their speeches.
Majalis were witnessed at all hussainiyaat and maatam of the country. Currently Bahrain houses at least 3,500 hussainiyaat for men and more than this for women. Following majalis, processions were taken out attended by tens of thousands of mourners. They performed tatbeer and extended their condolences in the respected court of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) and Imam-e-Zaman (ATF).
Arba`een program was also held at Hussainiyah Al-Haaj Ahmed bin Khamis. Hundreds of black-dressed mourners attended the program consisted of majlis and procession. Participants of the procession, which included religious scholars, men and children, were beating their chests and reciting dirges to commemorate the occasion. END |
