Conference on Imam Hussein (a) concludes in Australia

SYDNEY, Australia: A conference on Imam Hussein (AS) was held in Sydney marking Arba`een of Imam Hussain and his 72 diehard companions who rendered matchless sacrifice some 1,400 years ago in the burning plain of Karbala for survival of humanity.

The title of the three-day conference was “Imam Hussein (AS) and International Message”.

Hundreds of people belonging to different nationalities including Iraq, Lebanon and Bahrain attended the conference, which was organized at Islamic Center of Australia. The conference was the first such activity of the center.

Ayatullah Sayyid Hadi Al-Modarressi, during his three-night lectures, discussed the responsibility of Muslim Ummah towards revolution of Imam Hussein (AS). Others who addressed the conference included Hujjatul Islam Sayyid Mahdi Al-Modarresi who delivered lectures in English, and Hujjatul Islam Sayyid Hussein Al-Modarresi.
