Imam Sajjad (a)’s martyrdom observed in Iran

HOLY CITY OF MASH’HAD, Iran: Martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen (AS) was observed in Iran with Majalis-e-aza held at the holy shrines, tombs, husseiniyaat and residences to commemorate the occasion.

Multitude of mourners gathered at the holy shrine of Hazrat Ali bin Moosa Ar-Reza (AS) in the holy city of Mash’had on Muharram 25th night (night between Muharram 24 and 25), Friday and then on the day of Muharram 25, Saturday to attend majalis. Elegies were recited and masaib of Imam Sajjad (AS) were recounted.

In the holy city of Qom, mourning programs were held at the holy shrine of Hazrat Sayyedah Fatemah Al-Masoumah bint Imam Mousa Al-Kazim (AS). Throngs of mourners offered condolences to her by reciting dirges and performing chest beating.

A majlis-e-Aza was witnessed at Bait-ush-Shirazi in the holy city of Qom attended by Ayaatullah and Ulama. Hujjatul Islam As-Sayyed Sharayee, As-Sayyed Karami and others addressed.
