Bahrainis observing Hazrat Ommol Banin (a)’s Demise Day By: Ali Al-Qadumi MANAMA, Bahrain: Death anniversary of Sayyidah Ommol Banin Al-Arba’ah (peace be upon her) is being commemorated in Bahrain with throngs attending the mourning gatherings and processions. Speakers, during mourning gatherings at hussainiyat across Bahrain, throw light on the life of Sayyidah Ommol Banin Al-Arba’ah (peace be upon her) whose real name was Fatimah, the daughter of Hezam. Marking the occasion, a grand mourning procession is scheduled to take place on 18 August, Monday at 9:00 PM at Hussainiyah bin Khamis (As-Sanabas). Renowned dirge-chanter Ali Al-Barhami (Hammadi) will attend. Sayyidah Ommol Banin Al-Arba’ah (peace be upon her) is that great lady who wrote a matchless history of sacrifice by presenting her four sons for martyrdom in the plain of Karbala in 61 AH. Hadhrat Abbas (peace be upon him), the flag-carrier of Al-Imam Al-Hussain (peace be upon him)’s host was one of her four sons. END |
