Palestinian Airlines to resume flights soon By: Ahmad Hammadi GAZA CITY: The Palestinian Minister for Transport Sa'adi El-Kronz announced that the Palestinian Airlines has scheduled to recommence flights from the Gaza Strip this week after being grounded by Israel for over a year. Talking to newsmen on Monday, El-Kronz said the airline would take off thrice a week to connect over one million Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip with the Jordanian capital city of Amman. “The flights will fly from the El-Arish airport in Egypt, about 70 km (43 miles) from the Gaza Strip,” he said adding that negotiations with Israel over the reopening of Gaza International Airport are still ongoing.
