Al-Aqsa children fund festival held

JERUSALEM: A massive gathering of Muslim devotees was held in front of the Dome of the Rock Mosque at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Saturday.

Hundreds, mostly children, attended the event called 'The Al-Aqsa Children Fund Festival'. The Muslim organization Islamic Movement organized the event.

The Festival took place with no incidents despite Israel arrested a number of the movement's leaders and reopened the site to non-Muslim visitors.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque compound is referred to by Jews and Christians as the Temple Mount, in Jerusalem's Old City.
